Hey guys, before it becomes a big issue let me clarify something. I will never sugarcoat my words when speaking about JK Rowling specifically. Someone who openly spreads hatred, misinformation about and attacks those she knows absolutely nothing about does not deserve any of my respect whatsoever. I wasn’t aware the term “hag” was considered an insult that degraded women, I only assumed it to mean “very old”. However, even after learning the true meaning behind the word, I will not take back what I said in the video. Women don’t deserve to or should ever be reffered to by such insulting and disgusting terms. But like I said, someone as hateful as JK Rowling does not deserve nor have that same amount of respect from me. Little Edit: In case anyone wonders why I even included my insult towards her in the video, it’s mainly because I’ve gotten comments in the past from people who assume I support JK Rowling just because I like Harry Potter.
Hi, a self proclaimed Kinect investigator in 2024 here. Yes, it works wonders on VR (I'm a mexican lad, I can't just get a VR Headset and expect to have something to eat at the same time). Haven't used it in a while because my new phone is pretty big, but with an Android phone, the Kinect and (I'm not kidding) Wiimote+Nunchuck a homemade VR Setup is not only possible, it's pretty fun to mess around. Now, supposedly, the kinect can also be used like an air mouse and some interactivity with Win8-Win10, but I haven't figured it out yet. Lastly, before the 360 store was put down I managed to track games for a thing called "Kinect Fun Labs", and one of those is "Kinect Avatar", which is like a god send for VTubing on a budget (I'll use it soon, I was just getting used to it). I'm doing research on what and how much can we push the device to it's absolute limits, so I'll try to keep people informed (and who knows, even in a niche scenario, give it a second life for fans of the funny and quirky devices like myself).
That is not a retro game manual, real retro game manuals had so much more effort put into them. I really dislike fallout 3, but that had one of the best game manuals I'd ever had for a game.
so i got a kinect when they were force fed with my xbox one… im a N64 kid so the concept blew my mine…. i hated it, the only memory i have is when i would yell “thats f-ked” when id get killed in cod, it would think i was saying “xbox” and pop up pausing my game
They shouldn’t have removed Kinect from the Xbox one. They should have just dropped the price to $399. It was the only thing that set Xbox apart in the 8th generation.
@@om58499 I tried looking into emulating the game but there didnt seem to be any ROMS online and I don’t know if my Kinect would even work. It was an older model I bought from a flea market. Basically at the time it needed that SDK to work which I dont even know if its being sold, so playing on a 360 sounded much easier.
After recently buying a 360 for the Kinect, just for my son to play with I realized the biggest problem with the Kinect was a lack of conveying the importance of its requirements. For examply part of the reason your experience was so bad in this video was because you arent fulfilling the space requirement needed for it to work properly. It even tells you on the prompt in the bottom with the red shoes. Generally speaking the best experience with the Kinect comes from playing it in a lit up living room or game room with enough space to be about5 to 6 feet away from your TV. And with these requirements met i was genuinely surprised at how well it worked and how much fun the games were. I also noticed that the game UIs worked better than the Xbox UI with it which is somewhat strange. But yeah, i think this accessory was just misunderstood. People were expecting the Wii, which didnt require any of the things mentioned, just an IR sensor and remote. You could play the Wii just fine in a 4x4 dark closet if you wanted to. The kinect wasnt very useful to most gamers who probably attempted to play it in their 10x10 messy rooms in the dark.
Not everyone has a large enough space for it though. When I first had the kinect, my living room space was about the size of a bedroom. Same as the next house moved to. Living room was crowded and cluttered and not big enough for it to work. So yes *maybe* it was misunderstood, but this device was generally directed to people who actually had the space for it. However the people who wanted it aren't people that typically had the space for it. If you enjoyed it and could actually use it, then good for you. Unfortunately most buyers can't fulfill the space requirements.
And the homophobia. That dig on JK Rowling was hopefully not thought through (if it was, then I guess he's openly anti woman?). If it was, that's sad to see Shteve have such a cringeworthy anti woman anti gay position. I'm assuming he simply doesn't know very much about Rowling and is going by what people say about her on Twitter. Pretending that JK Rowling is a bad person because she supports womens rights in a more absolute way than you do reflects poorly and erodes overall credibility of the channel.
That's interesting that you are one of those people that thinks being openly bigoted is a good way to fight against what you see as bigoted people. You know why your dig on JK Rowling makes you look anti woman and anti science, so it's disappointing to see you embrace that kind of divisive politics. If you actually weren't a fan of her and didn't actively hate her, you wouldn't have mentioned her at all.

Calm down with the misogyny, buddy.
