Much to love in the two first albums' tracks! Not everything, sometimes not even enough, for me, but when it's good it's great. 😅 Love the dense guitars, growls, melodies, the many ideas, and in part the brazen song structure.

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned from another subscriber, or perhaps it’s already on your queue, but I hope you get a chance to listen to the song “Blackwater Park” from the self titled album. From Opeth fans, it’s regarded as their Magnum Opus. Along with The Moor, it’s one of Opeth’s true masterpieces.
That being said, I love all the Opeth reactions. Especially for The thorough breakdown of Still Life, my personal favorite from the band. Thanks for all you do Luke!
The first album is rejected by many, much due to the bad sound and mixing, but imho it is one of their best albums. This song is probably on my top 10 list.
I mean, it's different...but nah, I dig it.
