They suffered a lot since their pre-debut period. YHS called B.I as the next GD and got hate from bigbang fans. Their hip hop style made them accusing iKON as copying bigbang. The one year gap between Winner and iKON debut also made winner fans angry and called iKON as the yg's fav. Haters created so many fake stories to accuse iKON as impolite, rude and a bully. (Thats why you can see iKONIC and yg stan having fan war sometimes, its a history thing).
Their bling bling comeback result was not good so B.I had to ask fans what music do they want to listen. Some fans threw hate to him but he took it as opinion.the iKON were so stressed during that period because of the schedule and the hate and their comeback result. DK lost so much weight, Song always be lack of confidence because he thought that no fan would come to him during fan meeting. B.I once said "just meet in the next life, but you cant find me because i will be the wind" in one LIVE broadcast. They were called yg flop/failure at that time. Even after the success of LS, June said that it was only the song got acknowledge/known by the public, not us. When everyone thought that they would gain the success which they deserved, yg scandal happened and B.I was accused as involving in drug scandal (you can see the details of the link mentioned before). The effect was huge because B.I was seen as the backbone of the group as he produced all albums and composed most of the songs. He was also the one who took care of nearly everything including choreography and stage performance. However, I am so glad that iKON is staring again by participating in KINGDOM and a comeback in March, plus B.I did a featuring with epik high and established his own label.
its so upsetting to know this, and unfortunately it seems like such a common thing for many groups. we are new to iKON but we truly respect them as a group and the fans as well. The loyalty and the persistent hard work definitely doesn't go unnoticed. ❤❤

Reason why iKON and iKONiCs have a strong bond some of us didn't leave iKON from ups and down we're still here even when they become 6 members now and i will never stop supporting iKON and B.I..🥺🥺
B.I's speech actually trended because many people were so touched by it. And even the artists present at the venue really applauded him for his speech. It was so touching 😭
And yeah it's B.I who wrote, composed and produced all of their songs aside from some songs in their first album in which Teddy, GD and Kush had written and composed but B.I also participated in writing lyrics in those songs. Even when he was out of the group, he wrote and composed 4 out of the 5 songs in ikon's mini album including the title track. It's like 99% of ikon's songs were written and composed by B.I. Sad that he is not part of the group anymore but he is currently an executive director at a popular company in South Korea which houses popular actors like Jo In Sung and popular hosts and entertainers. They branched out to music and signed B.I as their executive director. Rumor says he will be producing their upcoming boy group this year. And aside from that, he will be a solo singer and already established his own company called 131LABEL. So we're really excited for that 😄

just halfway of the video but I want to add that the debut period-2017 was pretty hard time from them not only because of the hate but esp when the most hate came from other yg fandom such as vip (bigbang)and inner circle (winner) so they were called bigbang copycat and yg biggest flop. IC even boycotted empty (winner's debut song) just because it was written by hanbin (B.I).
omg i remember that era.. we are being hate for no reason.. and more sad its from inside yg family.. and now still thoo...
i only once watch the mv of love scenario and i don't expect that I'm going too far for being a hard stan iKONic and I'm loving them through ups and down

hanbin (B.I) is one of the most interesting and kind souls I've ever come across. I would love to pick his mind lol! iKON was my introduction to kpop and still the only group i stan at the moment, so I'm glad you're enjoying getting to know them!

You know, I have a lot to say but i don't even know where to start, it's the iKON effect i guess. 🤣 Thank you for this week really, it's been kind of a routine for me to check your vids coz I can really relate so much. Imagine the roller coaster of emotions when I first got into iKON, it was so overwhelming and I also believe the way i discovered iKON was meant to be. Haha. I wasn't even into kpop when I first saw them and within a week I just fell inlove instantly. Not gonna say more about their struggles and whatnot, you'll eventually come across those a long the way. I'm just so happy that you enjoy their music. You'll definitely enjoy watching and getting to know them individually. It'd be such a wonderful journey.

I think it’s better to react to ikon tv along with the rest of their discography, instead of watching win and mix n match ..they are painful history but you should do it only when you are with the rest

WINNER is another group in yg, ikonics and inner circle (Winner's fandom) have had a lot of beef since WIN because they were competing on the show but even after they all debuted, ppl always compared them and fought over who got better treatment from yg. I personally find it stupid. There are a lot of iKON and WINNER interactions, they are like brothers. Also MINO from WINNER and BOBBY from iKON has a sub-unit called MOBB in 2016. Please check out 'FULL HOUSE' and 'HIT ME' by MOBB, recently they also collabed on a song from MINO's solo album called 'ok man'.

They lost during WIN coz of votes but skill/talent wise they would be no.1 anyway, I think it's all good that they lost that survival show they would not be the iKON we love today, coz if they won that show their group would be name WINNER. Actually, iKON are very known as a talented and versatile group they could do any music genre not to mentioned they produce/write/composed their own songs and choreograph their dance. They are known as idols of idols one of the unique kpop group out there and they have the best rapper in their grouo which is Bobby. They have a lot of achievements that no kpop group achieved.
And that's why iKON lose their popularity in Korea. YG shouldn't sent his talented boys to Japan in their rookie years.
