I clayed my suv this past weekend after about 2 years (hey, I have been busy). My paint definitely needed paint correction and claying helped to remove some stubborn buildup. It was amazing how clean the paint looked after claying. Then I did a paint correction with an AIO and the results were just amazing. Claying is an important step if your paint needs it! 👍🏻

I've only tried the Meg's clay bar kit and the Mothers kit. I definitely like the mothers better. I've never tried a clay towel like you're using. Do you like that better than an actual clay bar? About how many vehicles do you use it on before discarding it?

Those clay mitts are ok for large vehicles (boats, vans, semis, large SUVs), but if you want way better results, use an actual clay bar. You should do a small section at a time and then wipe the clay luber product off. You know it's time to move to another section when you don't hear anything as you move the bar over the paint.
Use purple power vehicle and boat wash to wash the car, and use mineral spirits to prep the painted surface to make sure the sealant bonds with the surface

No you don't always have to polish before you wax, but the first time, you clay and compound, you should polish. from that point, it's maintenance, meaning just wax. I use Fusso Coat or Collinite 845 for my waxes, both with my 3401
are you suppose to rinse the clay mitt after every couple panels? can soap water from the washing process be used as lubricant? the lubricants i'm using isn't slick enough.
Use the car soap you clean the car with . I do this method all the time with my clients and comes out great . First clean the car with the bucket soap with the mitten. And the rinse off then I re use the mitten squeeze a little bit soap off and use it with my clay bar !
@DetailGroove so I bought truck that I can tell use to be to a smoker cause the all the windows have a hazy flim on them what is the best way to clean that and the panels. . . .

Yikes, yes, potentially. It's possible that the clay part will rub off on the pain. Of course, test it

What is your thought on using those clay disc that fit on polisher? Have you tried those?
I haven't but I"m not a fan as it won't get into the tight areas. So either way you'll have to go back to something more manual
