$30 for 4 figures and the warthog is a great price. The single figures are $5 each so that's $20 alone. so the warthog is only $10 if you break it down. The 4 pack figures are $15 and that would make the hog $15. So either way, you get a great new hog cheap. The scalpers are going to ruin it for everyone though. The same logic applies to the Recon Getaway set. it has 4 figures and a mongoose for $15. The Mongoose is practically free. think about it

@@RudeAndObscene so true. The 10th anniversary warthog was $30 at release. Then the price dropped to $16 after a month. Now it's over $40. Better get it now if possible. 2 of 3 targets in my area had 3 rally hogs on the shelf. I grabbed 1 from each store. A week later the last two are still there. This new hog us beautiful. It's the 4th design and Im hopping for other colors to appear

@@outlander_4264 I think the problem is distribution. I see new Pokemon sets everywhere. But halo sets are few and mostly sell out quickly. New COD sets are rare. And MOTU are hard to find as well. Those magnext sets are not very interesting, but Target seem to always have them. GOT sets are easy to get though but nothing new. And they are on sale at target. 50% off. They will soon be at discount stores.
I'm surprised that Mattel doesn't have an online store. Online shops like Amazon, Walmart, Target, and eBay are full of scalper's. Prices are usually double the MSRP.

Yes, I built only one set made before they did that and it was a bit of a pain

This and the snowhog are my favorite new-age brick hogs.
I love how they are always experimenting with suspension, and all the hogs have their unique systems.
This is, of course the best system so far, and the shape of the vehicle is very satisfying.

@Ian Gerhart, these jackals lack any coloring on them which means they can’t have the texture the original ones had, and their general body formation is just off.

Honestly the jackals look so amazing to me! I love the design and their Mohawk is kinda cute🤣 and honestly I’m confused about master chiefs shoulder pads. They are from reach and not from the halo infinite trailer and pictures. Not bad just odd to me
Mega used the Reach pads because it was the closest armor piece to what the new game looks like. It's very close. Missing a tiny bit of armor, but at that scale, total accuracy is not possible
Demarcation Media ok I actually didn’t know that! Btw I love your videos! I like the detailed descriptions on each section of characters and sets! Hope I can find some! They are always sold out. And in all honesty the old reach assault rifle hold true to the original because it was big and clunky in the game but the new version looks to be more sleek so mega really hold true to their molds and creations.

As to the temporary pieces, Mega used to have them regularly, but were really bright colors. At least now they are Earth colors so you can just add them to terrain.

I love the new marines. Honestly I think its about time they were updated. What I really want to see is a slightly taller spartan body. If they implement a waist spacer system into the figures we could even see properly scaled brutes in mega bloks form
A spacer might help some, thought the arms would end up looking off I think

I like the post that the turret is mounted on. It looks nice, and it doesn’t have 2 extra points of accidental articulation which make it bend and turn in really bad ways.
That was the one issue I had with the Arctic CTF hog: that gun would bend all over the place. This new design is perfect
Halo Mega Construx have always intrest me but I've never committed to getting any of them. Though that's about to change with the halo infinite sets, I'll probably get most if not all of them lol.

Call me crazy, but I think the Jackals are kinda cute. Their little tufts of hair just say something to me.

the pointy elbows are there to make sure the arm doesn't bend backwards I think
most mega construx figures have something like the pointy elbow that you pointed out, but instead sometimes it'll be a slight extension to the armor like in spartans and stuff.
but if the lower arm is unarmored it'll have the pointy elbow

i just got the set (today’s my birthday) and guess what?, the piece to attach the gun to the vehicle broke in the bag, i go to customer service, it doesnt work, try the customer service number, their closed sat-sunday. :(

Oooooh, that removable ammo counter on the AR is super interesting, MEGA never really do anything that isn't game-accurate with their Halo sets (apart from the alternate builds obv) and I don't think we've ever seen customizable halo weapon molds, so safe bet we're getting somewhat customizable weapons in infinite I guess?
Edit: I've just realised we did get customization for Halo 5s sets, so not exactly new for MEGA but still interesting.
We haven't gotten a removable ammo counter. They just added a rail on the older ones and that was that

I feel bad because your content is pretty good and some mega construx sets aren’t cheap yet you get loads of views but barley any of them are subscribed. At least you are popping in the recommendation bar though so hopefully you will get more views and subscribers especially with halo infinite hype. Keep up the good work!

I’d love a real life Warthog. Like a hybrid one or Tesla style internals. I mean the vehicle in game goes from slow to fast real quick like Tesla

Big Bad Toy Store is a fantastic site. I've ordered from there before and have had a firsthand view of their customer service thanks to Bandai's cruddy QC. BBTS fixed everything super quick. Can't recommend them more

I got this set for my birthday and i have a problem that the suspension is really weak and and the back keeps dropping like it’s a low rider, does that happen to you or did i do something wrong

Great review! Also the Marines have pointy elbows so the arm can't bend the wrong way, that's the problem the Assassin's Creed line had

Last time I owned a set from this company was the huge McLaren F1 car. They were still called 'Mega Bloks' back then. I haven't bought anything from them since... Well I can't even remember but it was like 15+ years ago. I always remember the brick quality being terrible lol.
But I'm going to bite the bullet and buy this set. It just looks too good to pass on so I hope it's worth it!

this set good for army building warthogs and you get a lot of jackals
Personally I prefer the Marines being larger because now I can actually use them alongside CoD figures without them being out-of-scale. I wish Mega would do this with all of their Halo figures, and I wish they'd done it from the beginning.
The Spartans just need to be bigger, is all
@LORD FALCON Not as big as you want. Not Elites hunter sized. No. Just so Spartans and Marines are the same height again. However, MCX employees have stated this will not happen. So we needa work with it
@@DemarcationMedia They do, yes. Honestly though, with the way MEGA constantly pumps out new molds for Halo as fast as we change car oil, it shouldn't be too hard. I hope they also fix the Brutes as well. The Elites I don't mind, since extending their leg joints to their best angle can make them taller than even COD figures.
@@niklase.4850 The reason they aren't changing the Spartans at all is because it would utterly ruin all the progress they've made with changeable armor and they would have to start all over again.
@@DemarcationMedia True, but they have made entire lines of figures obsolete before. Look at the dozens of new molds that were shelved before their season was even up, when new-articulation figures came out. Right now, they're making the "new" leg armor for marines obsolete with this new line. Halo is an ever-changing toy line. If they thought it would make more money, I'm sure Mega wouldn't hesitate.

just got a sub brotha. this will be my fourth Warthog set and I can't wait to have it arrive on Friday. the other three Warthog sets I have are the CTF Artic, 10th your anniversary, and Sgt. Forge Gauss hog.

MCX sets aren't always 100% accurate
Haven't seen anyone mention this, but you got the piece that goes over the pelvis piece backwards. The armour plate should be at the back, not at the front like you've done it

Probably means you got one of the sets that has a code for Halo Infinite itself. It gives you a special coating for armor in game

its such a dramatic change from the previous builds, something about it feels off.
personally i think it looks to blocky and brick based..almost like a lego designed warthog
I don't have the 10th Anniv hog but to me, that one looks blocky. Definitely give it a shot. The build is the most fun MCX set I've done yet
When I got the new marines I just replaced there legs with black old legs and used the delta series as the pants

The only thing i don't like about this set is the inclusion of Master Chief. Characters like him should be single buys. If you buy multiple sets you will have a lot of Master chief characters. Just like the MOTU wind raiders. I now have 7 He-man and Skeletor figures. I guess I just have a lot of extra parts to make customs with.
Unavoidable for a toy company. Lego does the same thing. Everyone wants to be able to get the main character
@@DemarcationMedia I guess those sets that come with extra armor and heads are good for this reason. I need to learn how to mold custom Heads. MOTU characters are a good base for any cartoon character. Like the Thundercats, or Silverhawks.
really the new master chief figure is more of a classic design
and plus all the marines are gonna get merced by the covenant anyways so hight won't matter

It was kinda dumb of them make it 2 in 1 cause you gotta take the entire the apart just to make it a boat.Id proffer the worthog. And they couldve made the boat its seperate set but i see what they were going for.
The goal is to make the set more engaging, so that's why they made it 2-in-1

Demarcation Media no way dude. I saw a 3x1 tile on the side. I didn’t get a fair look at it but it’s certainly not the standard tubing used in making the turret stock.
@@Atriox2004 Yea, the turret base is a little different. More bricks. Not sure if it's an improvement or not though. Either way, it seemed a minor detail
Demarcation Media it was one of the first things I noticed. Mega has been making turrets the same way pretty much from the beginning so it was interesting to see. As someone who has or has seen most the Warthogs, I would have liked to see it up closer since I probably won’t be able to find this in stores until Autumn.
