Went to meet the parents of a girl I was dating. Her dad leaves the room without a word. He comes back with a 12G shotgun. He had just bought it and wanted me to see it. It made me a little nervous. Keep up the good work and thank you for your service.
This was his debut single. Came out the gate strong. Also, 'Becky' appears in three more songs of his: "How Am I Doin'", "Lot of Leavin' Left to Do", and "Am I the Only One". Pretty sure that's the right order...so if you want to see the whole story, get to them in that order.
Cannot stop at ONE Dierk song! I am unemployed so I can’t Patrion...so thank you Patrions for these great Country Songs. If any of you are LeeAnn Womack fans...please request Ashes by Now!
C'mon Billy....you gotta love the acting when he said YEAH!!! This was his 1st single. He's truly a great guy. We've met him a few times and remembers your name. Now that's an amazing mind.
"How Am I Doin'" by Dierks is the follow up to this song. And if you start reacting to his early stuff the dog in the front seat of his truck will be a fixture in the videos.
Stole a cop car to get to a crazy party. Everytime I would show up to the new party spot that night. Everyone would leave as I pulled up. What was I thinking?
This is from his first record! I own this cd!! Me and my son use to blast this running up in down 95 going to baseball tournaments!! We use take a few of his teammates with us and by the time I got them home; they was singing this song and telling their parents they wanted this CD!! LOL
You are hilarious from vet to vet ... your videos series binge on Netflix for me 🤣🤣🤣 keep on with the real fun side and byse “I don’t know about y’all But I love love taking to me” 🤣😂😭
The summer I graduated high school was the summer of fun, almost every weekend was a night like the one in the song...oh the things I would do just to do it all over again 😁
This was filmed in kingsbury where we live. The gas station is gone now, but the bar and garage is still up and running. The older man in the video is Geno, he's owned the shop for decades here. ❤
My Poppy was a retired train conductor on Seaboard Coastline. Became a conductor after having worked his way up the ladder. That song was one of his favorites and played at his funeral for the altar call.
I heard this the other day while patrolling here at work. I was going to suggest it....just about to watch it. Check out Dierks Bentley "How Am I doin'?" Dwight Yoakam "Things Change." They both have a little change of plot in the song, I think you'll enjoy.
Love that you are doing one of my favorite country artists a lot of his songs have that free wheeling vibe to his songs but there are other songs in his catalog that have a serious tone to them going to recommend a total of 4 songs 2 that have that free wheeling vibe to them and 2 that have that serious and grounded vibe to them The 2 free wheeling vibe tone to them are Free and Easy down the road I go and Sideways The 2 serious vibe songs are I hold on and Home
I can honestly say that I am a good girl who likes "bad boys" and "most" times I thought "What was I thinking ?" to myself …..He was absolutely worth it !
Does anyone know if he’s done MR Mom yet? Or just another day in paradise? And try Jump the Gun by halestorm. It’s along the same lines as this song. I believe dirks also sings “Ol Red” another one worth a listen
This song best embodies my dating career in the late 90's early 00's. While I didn't necessarily have cops chasing me, or a daddy with a shotgun peppering my tail with a shot gun, there were ex-boyfriends and his buddies, there was long and fast drives down country roads in the middle of the night, and man... a whole lot more. The thing is, at the time, I was a simp, and the girls I was with were manipulative lil she-beasts, but damn they were hawt! Knowing what I do now, I wouldn't have bothered with them and went for the type that wouldn't walk all over a guy just to get what they want. You see, I was in my early 20's, and easily blinded by the Power of the Clit. Now, I'm a lot more skeptical, a lot more guarded, and not so easily twisted, but that comes from experience and with growing up. Man, if you could have seen the women I was with back then though... wooooweee!
Been married so long I thought, nah, not me bro. But then i started remembering some of my crazy teen years. Im lucky to be alive today. There were a few girls that almost got me killed. Including my wife. But she was worth it.
Robin Williams said God’s best joke on men was that he gave us 2 heads and just enough blood to run 1 at a time.
Oh, that is good.
Lol I didn't see this til after I quoted the same joke
“He must have said no in Dutch or something” that killed me 😂

I was 17 and he was 22. We ran wild around this country! 26 years, 5 kids and 4 grand kids later we're still each others Bonnie and Clyde!
I think you are right.
"Hood Slidin like Bo Duke" My favorite line of the song.
"He must have said no in Dutch" I lost it 🤣
Yep, I've done it a few times but I'm old. I figured out that "Don't stick you d--- in crazy" when I was 30. Life has been relatively peaceful since
LOL Eric, that's an awesome saying. Cracked me up, and so true!

Song that probably had me crossing over from rock to country in the mid 90's was Collin Raye "My kind of Girl". But I like this tune too. Fun song.
