Jacqueline Filo are you saying that because I’m a woman I want everything well you are correct because I’m a person but you are wrong about something you are saying that half the population is all the same I want everything and I’m not afraid to work my ass off to get that I wanna get my parents a house I wanna make sure that nobody in my immediate family becomes homeless I want my future kids to have good morals and believe in equality I want to stop people from ignoring the homeless and again I’m gonna work my ass off to make this come true just by you saying “women only want guys to take care of them” is making it seem like we are all the same should I just say all men are closed minded pricks of course not because I know that everyone doesn’t deserve to be judged if you don’t know them.
Bubbles So true I love this like who wouldn’t want everything good or bad that’s what makes us human forever or for most our life’s and sometimes people don’t even know they want everything and don’t acknowledge it thanks for making me feel like I am not the only one who feels that way.
Bubbles Your welcome sorry I respond late I don’t get notifications a lot and don’t worry about a comment war what you said was right if they like it or not.
Came here because of your tweet love ❤️ #GirlLove is very very close to my heart and all the credits goes to its phenomenal and wonderful founder, YOU 😍
I love the message of this song. It’s not about toxic feminism. It’s celebrating all types of girls and women. She is supporting all body shapes but you can work out and change your body. The different outfits show you can be more feminine or more masculine but you still are a girl we all have the same struggles. And we are all beautiful in our own way. The words on the shirts at the end show the beauty in the inside as well. ❤
The song is about feminism…but feminism isn’t just about women. You gotta do more research on the history of the term and its definition before you go commenting around like this. When you search up “isms” in general check it’s historical definition or political definition, not just a general dictionary definition bc that will not give you a fully defined explanation of what you are researching. I’d say to start by researching suffrage and build from there and see how the term developed. Also don’t only study it from one country’s perspective, but from multiple. Look at Emmeline Pankhurst and Nellie McClung or Alice Paul. Those are the basics to start with that you should then build from.
I love that the "celebrating life" part is associated both with partying and reading. Too often, when a lifestyle is praised, it is done by throwing shade at an opposite one.
I love that this song promotes female unity but still manages to show that we're all still different. I know people are going to jump on this and tell me otherwise and my only response to that is listen to the song again.
She complements every girl in this song, she is a queen Edit: I haven't checked in awhile with this comment, and now I have 906 likes, so, thank you so much for the likes!
Bad idea cause if you watch the bachelor you get an un attractive guy and hot girls if one hot guy goes after him the others do see how jealously is a weapon if you use it in the wrong hands
When I was younger I was a "Not like other girls" girl. I've gotten older and realized that there's nothing wrong with liking more 'girly' things. "Not like other girls" phases happen because society teaches us that masculine things are better and should be valued above more feminine ones when there's nothing wrong with liking either one. This isn't intended to be against more masculine women, if you're not hurting anyone like what you like.
@@Me-nz5rb It’s a backhanded compliment. It’s unintentionally/intentionally degrading to other women. Compliments shouldn’t include putting down others.
literally, just because they had a bad experience with one or two girls doesn't mean we're evil or something like that... plus if something wasn't meant to be or we just don't like someone then we're not gonna be with them... that's how life is, you can't always get what you want, people just need to realize that
@Solangelo Fan it's suggesting that there's something wrong with being like "the other girls". Degrading my gender is not a compliment, because I love being apart of it
I feel like Hailee Steinfeld is an underrated artist because her songs aren't depressing or anything like that. I have nothing against depressed music but it is a huge trend and we need to still pay attention to this angel. 😇
Be depressed is not a trend. You must dont realise artists talk about depression because they are depressed and they try to talk about their feelings...
Girl you're right this deserves more than many like cuz hailee Steinfeld is the best and I love most girls and I feel like the exact same way I feel like we can be a baddie and a girly girl at the same time but we can be who you want
I didn't pay much attention to this song back then but I still liked it but it felt like back then everyone was releasing songs with this kind of message following some kind a trend but now I look back at it and see these kinds of songs (every one of them) are a stepping stone for women who have grown up strong and beautiful. These kind of songs paved the way in their own little way. Grateful that I grew up with these songs.
I’m a Japanese girl, and high school student. I read Japanese translation. This song lyrics empathizes with most girls regardless of the country. I appreciate your beautiful song so much❤️Pardon my broken English
If a girl says you are not like most of the boys-means that he is a very good caring respecting guy and most guys are bad. If a boy says you are not like most of girls - means this song comes up
I love the meaning of this song. He told her ,,she isn’t like most girls“ what means he’s bringing down other women. Her in return WANTS to be like most girls because we are all so beautiful!
Well this is one approach based on one prism of mind (a specific piece of mind) but there is another... the guy obviously and realistically could not have met EVERY girl in the world to have this opinion so when he says "most girls" he is refering to the most out of the number of girls he actually have met in his life and his experience with them wasnt nice...because yes as this can be true for men it can equally be true for women as well.. a guy might have had 3 relationships or more were each was bad for different reasons but always coming mainly from the women's part... so when he says this phrase he actually ''compliments'' her that out of the number of women he have met and most of them werent nice, she is exceptional, different in a good way and he sets her above his past experiences.. in that regard, her reaction can be seen as stupid, illogical, brainless feminist outburst and make the guy in the end feel like he skipped a bullet and the whole video and song words, totally irrelevant to the meaning of the intro scene!!!
yess!! shes not putting down skinny girls to appreciate fat ones, not putting down those who like makeup to appreciate natural ones, not putting down popular ones to appreciate simple girls and so on. i just love it
I love her she said "it's OK if you want to change the body that you came in" because most people will say to be proud of it but it's true that some girls don't like how they look and it's honestly OK because they're not alone I love this song and the message it sends
It's a surprisingly hard message to find in modern times, but Hailee is very smart with it, sure you should be happy with how you are now, but if you feel like you can do something to make yourself feel better like lose weight or something, do it, because if you love yourself, you should be trying to better yourself, this is the smartest song I have heard in a long time!
Giving confidence and motivation to make positive changes isn't tearing them down, believe it or not, just saying 'you're great no matter what' doesn't work for everyone! I'm sorry to say this but some people need to hear more, and this is a sad fact but while everyone has positive aspects, nobody is perfect, and everybody has something bad about themselves, like me, I have horrible skin that is covered in eczema and looks horrible, and I would love to treat it and be rid of it, but not because I worry people will judge me for it, but because it itches and is uncomfortable, so I out effort with products and medicine to clear my skin. I so that for me not for anyone, so why is any different when a girl wants it? Having high self esteem and wanting to make positive changes are not mutually exclusive. Like I said, some people, man or woman, need more than a generic preschool cartoon message saying 'you're special!' Some people legitimately think there's something they can do to to better themselves, and if they actually try, good for them!
Grizz, Pan-Pan, and Ice Bear Don't listen to that person! You're obviously not tearing anyone down! What you said is true. Just because you said something positive and then used the word but that means it's negative? Your second statement was positive too. That person is so stupid. Too many people don't pay attention.
My wife knows she has one dress that really just wows me but I make sure to remind her frequently that there is a great beauty in comfort and that’s what I care about - her being comfortable
*"Somedays you feel so good in your skin, but it's ok if you wanna change the body that you came in. Because you look greatest when you feel like a damn queen"* I feel that this line is so important. It shows that it's ok to feel insecure and you should do whatever makes you feel comfortable. If you want to wear makeup or lose weight (edit: HEALTHILY) (etc.) to feel more confident, it's ok to do that and you shouldn't be hated on for doing so.
That's true, but I feel that this line should be taken to an extent that you can change to make yourself more confident but shouldn't do it in a way that will cause harm to your mind or your body.
I love how Hailee basically says its normal not to love yourself everyday. So many songs hate you or act like you're a charity just because you dont like yourself one day.
Pinhead Larry I agree. These days people take "love yourself" too much and use it to shame others for wanting to change. I am around 40lbs over weight and my bmi is climbing into the "obese" categories but I still look pretty good bc I carry my weight well. But I start eating better with a lot of veggies and start exercising and all I hear everyday at work is how "perfect" I am and I don't need to diet or change myself. They even make fun of how I brought my green veggies for lunch instead of eating out, or say "xx can't have a soda. She's on a "diet" and snicker about me.
A T same here but another (random song) good for the situation is 'Oh No!' By Marina and the diamonds and it basically says how only you can really know what you want/change I recommend :)
Yes! I hate these "not like the other girls" degrading other women, and to get men's attention. You can be "quirky" all you want without putting others down. periodt.
"not like the other girls" is misogynistic. It's degrading other women, people really made us hate femininity :(, some women are just ashamed of being called "basic" as if it's a bad thing. You shouldn't bring others down just to compliment and put someone up.
it's ok to be single. it's ok to be in a relationship. it's ok to like traditionally feminine things. it's ok to not like traditionally feminine things. it's ok to wear makeup. it's ok to not wear makeup. it is NOT ok to bash other girls for doing things that make them feel beautiful. let's bring each other up!!
I love the take this music video has. I love how it's not "lololol most girls totally love like dresses ad high heels and makeup but nope, not me, im just sOOoOoOOoO goofy and i read books and im a dork lmao!!!" Instead, it's saying that every girl is unique and powerful in their own way. It show's that the girls who prefer to stay inside and avoid parties and clubs are still pretty & unique. It show's that girls who do go out and express themselves are Fierce & Confident, that they know what they want & exactly how to get it. it doesn't degrade artists, bookworms, party girls, or any other person for who they are. Instead, it shows that every single girl has their own unique lifestyle and personality, and that it's OKAY to be who you are. Introverted, Extroverted, Gay, Bi Straight, Trans, Queer, Confident, Quiet, Loud, etc. Be who you are & be proud. Don't degrade or disrespect girls who aren't like you.
It really depends on how a person interprets the meaning. The Truth or the Lie about real life and attaining happiness. Don't fight nature, fulfill your purpose that's the key to happiness. Ask your mother, she'll tell you what made her the happiest. I bet it was you!!!
"You know some days you feel so good in your own skin But it's okay if you wanna change the body that you came in" Thank you for accepting and empowering girls no matter what they do, Hailee. We need more people like you
Hailee is a really good influence. It's ok if you wanna change your looks but it won't change anything else about you. Being yourself is something really important and it makes you stand out
When this song came out when I was 15 years old I always listen to it so many times😭🤧 and still sounds fresh. Hailee Steinfeld you are amazing❤️. I’ll never forget this song from my memories
Ikr? I am "basic" and I don't mind people telling me I'm basic because it's not an insult. I love being basic, because i am, it's my thing, i love it. There's nothing wrong with being basic. You can be quirky all you want without bringing others down.
I think it’s dumb bc being “basic” just means you’re up to date with the trends! Like why would I go out of my way to NOT be trendy especially if I like the trends anyway?
right?! like do guys get called basic when they just wear nike shirts and basketball shorts? ofc there’s nothing wrong with that but what’s with the double standard?
I really like the message of this song, She's not saying that girls are the same but also accepting and stating their beautiful, strong, etc. This song is telling you to never judge whatever you look, cause you're already perfect the way you are. I love you Hailee ❤
My brother thought the line was 'I don't wanna be like most girls'. I said that it was 'I wanna be like most girls'. He just shot me a look of disbelief and said 'why on earth would she say that?' Made me realise how badly we needed this song.
But why would you want to be like other people just be yourself be your extraordinary special unique self. I’m not like other girls. You aren’t either we are all individuals.
@@sofiabravo1994 the point of the song is just that though, we should embrace the fact that we're all individual and not let other people dictate what makes girls "girls". We're all unique, but we're all just doing things that makes us individually happy and that's why we should want to be like each other.
I think some people have the meaning wrong, the meaning is that *all* girls are different, ("No two are the same"). It's saying despite this she wants to be like them because they're all great despite their differences ("I wanna be like most girls.") So, the message of this song is: Every girl is different in their own way, but no matter who they are, they are all amazing. (Also, to never tell a girl she's not like most girls or else she'll make an entire song on you) (This comment was originally 2 years ago, I edited it to be more comprehensive!)
What some don't understand is that it is sometjimes used as a compliment. Lets clarify this quickly, like guys, not every girl is what you want to be around. Some are absalute chavs and in my expirence, some of the worst people they know. If that is the girls they know, it is a compliment, something they like about that girl. Taking this broad brush approach to issues makes life difficult in many other ways because nobody takes things case by case anymore to find out the real factors behind the issue going on.
@@Osindileyo i agree that if he's comparing her to the girls he's dated or something along those lines because they may have been toxic, cheaters, abusive, etc. but when it comes to comparing her to most girls in general it's bad. we dont know which he's talking about really though, it's just him saying "ur not like most girls" and her then saying "ight imma head out"
These comments are complaining about how this is very sexist to men, but honestly, it's not. "care about women" does not translate to "don't care about men." For example: the lyric Most girls, work hard, go far, we are unstoppable doesn't mean that men don't work hard, etc. etc. It's just that girls **usually** have more self esteem issues, and have had society tell us who we should be, and what we can and can't do. (And that's not saying that men haven't had self esteem issues or society give them rules btw :-)
Idk about the self-esteem part and the social pressure thing, like I am sure that girls have their own society made pressure but as someone who is interested in psychology and the field I can say almost for sure that man are generally the ones with low self-esteem (not that its a competition) but just wanted to put it here, take suicide and angry issues for example, most suicides are committed by men and the reason for that is usually social pressure connected with low self-esteem and frustration, angry issues are almost in every case connected with low esteem and its not frequent occurrence in woman mind. This is my not professional opinion so feel free to prove me wrong.
I agree. Some people say that women belong in the kitchen and they can't have a normal job like guys. It just...it hurts...it makes me sad that people can be so narrow minded...
When this song came out I was 14 and had really toxic mindset. I always thought she sang I don't wanna be like most girls because that's what made sense to me (I'm not native English speaker so I didn't understand half of the lyrics lol). I was trying so hard to not like the most girls, rejecting everything femine while girls in my age starting makeup and wearing skirts. But the truth was I really wanted to do makeup and wear skirts but I just couldn't do it because I always assumed makeup is for someone who is insecure and skirt is for girl who wants boys attention. But boy I was wrong. I was the one who wanted boys attention because I wanted them to think I was different than most girls so they could pick me. I was the insecure one because I thought I wouldn't look good as them with makeup so I constantly put them down to make myself feel better. And after two years of that toxic mindset I finally available to escape that. I now wear makeup whenever I want, however I want and wear clothes that I feel most comfortable wearing at the time and totally support all our lovely girls.
I personally don't like doing makeup but I think there's nothing wrong to do it . Some girls feel good when they do makeup , it's their choice and that's fine . Do what you love. If you love doing makeup , shopping , chatting just do it . You have to love your self first , not to impress others ☺
She truly owns every frame she’s in, showcasing her immense talent and stage presence. It would be fascinating to see her explore different visual concepts in her videos.
this is true feminism. just respecting women no matter what are their passions as long as they are fierce and kind. no matter what they look like they have the choice and this song just tells them its ok and they can be whatever they want.
Hedvika Stachovcová - Agreed, except when she get up and leaves him because he says “you’re not like most girls”, that’s called being over sensitive. If it had been a video will a girl saying “you’re not like other guys” and she got and left him the responses would be very different. BTW, most of what she is referring to in the song is actually women judging each other, not men judging us.
@@kms7012 if she took "youre not like most girls" as a compliment it would mean lowering her fellow sisters and friends. i know its hard to look this deep into a thing but she wants to be complimented for something she is not complimented by insulting other women. she just doesnt want to be with a man who doesnt value other women.
@@kms7012 and women are judging one another because they were told competition is better than cooperation. i think every girl once wanted to be out of the crowd and not like most girls but most girls are pretty awesome. and its just every womans mistake when she thinks she has to put down other women in order to feel powerful.
@@hedvikastachovcova9864 That is the dumbest thing i have seen today! Nothing wrong with the compliment, it doesn't mean he doesn't value other women (in the sense you mean), Why would she want to be like most women? Especially when most are a damn disgrace nowadays. It's not hard to look deep into anything, it's just stupid. Maybe in her mind it means something but in reality it is just ridiculous lol. Seems like it's coming from your perception and not facts. "i think every girl once wanted to be out of the crowd and not like most girls but most girls are pretty awesome. and its just every womans mistake when she thinks she has to put down other women in order to feel powerful.". WHAT??!! LOL. Once? you know there are plenty females who don't want to be part of the crowd and THOSE are not most girls.... Also, who the hell said every woman has/does put other women down to feel powerful? Seriously, stop speaking for others. This song is nonsense and you are looking way too deep into it. Everyone can interpret something how they'd like but it doesn't make it factual. Yes, some women AND men do put others down to feel powerful but to say every is just being extreme. If a guy tells a girl shes not like other girls and she comes back with this BS, she is a damn fool lmao. Be like the rest and not be yourself, great message IF what you are saying IS her message.....
She's saying that if you want to change yourself for the better, it's not a bad thing, because if you love yourself, you'd try to better yourself. In a world with modern things like the Fat Acceptance movement, it's nice to finally hear someone make sense, this is probably the smartest song I have heard in a long time!
@Raphael Plett you tell me i am not like most girls and learn to kiss me with your eyes closed something about the phrase - something about how i have to be unlike the women i call sisters in order to be wanted makes me want to spit your tongue out like i am supposed to be proud you picked me as if i should be relieved you think i am better than them -Rupi Kaur, Milk and Honey
Not really, when you're an immature girl society imprints upon you this terrible picture of how "most girls" are, and this actually helps you go above that stupid stereotype.
@ksts45Ⓐ Ik that but embracing your uniqueness by saying "I am tired of girls" or "girls are weird" is bad. I have seen many photos or post that generalised a whole gender I think that's a bad thing to do. You can just be yourself
I believe everyone is different and I’m never jealous of a girl but there’s always that one girl that does and is all competitive and etc. I myself don’t even understand this song but I just like the beat, I consider myself “different and weird” cause most people and friends really do say so I am, and i think I’ve realized that but I know I’m not the only one. The “I’m not like other girls” means your unique or rare or weird and “weird” means nobody really finds that kind of “kindness” “beauty” or “personality” and the list goes on. Though I agree in both things like “most girls” and that everyone is different.
girls: liking makeup, skirts, feminine things: basic liking sports, acting more masculine: trying to be “quirky” and pick me girl can we do anything without getting criticized?
Current social climate benefits from pitting women against each other. Also "pick me" girls are not the girls that prefer sports or act more masculine. "Pick Me" is reserved for any woman who specifically adjusts her interests, personality, and ideals for the sake of degrading other women around her with the goal to elevate herself for the sake of male affection and attention. Often these women have internalized misogynistic ideals or perpetuate men's misogynistic opinions. If someone tosses out "Pick Me" simply to tear down another woman for her genuine hobbies or interests then she is using the term wrong and is likely a jealous and insecure individual.
@@agentp821 yeah... people have a tendency to twist words to mean something completely different than was originally intended especially if the word hits one of their insecurities.
'some days you feel so good in your own skin' i just love this line so much, because there are some days when i look into the mirror and am satisfied with what i see.yes, this should happen everyday but it doesnt. EDIT : how did i get so many likes? thanks everyone!😭
This song feels like a captivating dream you don’t want to wake up from. this and"Loveblinded" by Mysteriousic both songs are magical musical journey. hailee always enchants, love her
"But it's ok if you wanna change the body you came in" hit me so hard. I feel like society has done such a good job at teaching us all that you should love the body you came in, and you don't need to change it. But it's hard hearing it all the time when you can't find a way to love your body the way it came. So when she said that, it made me feel good about wanting to change the way I look. :)
This song reminds me of this poem: you tell me I am not like most girls and learn to kiss me with your eyes closed something about the phrase ---something about how I have to be unlike the women I call sisters in order to be wanted makes me want to spit your tongue out like I am supposed to be proud you picked me as if I should be relieved you think I'm better than them - Rupi Kaur
I don't know if I'm the only one that thinks this song makes me feel worth it... When I was stressed because of studies or big competitions, this song just like kinda raised my mood!! GO GIRLS!!! Youre not alone! ;)
Yasss gurls we gotta empower each other in stead of bashing others for their chooses. Come on girls, we are so smart, powerful and diverse and that's okay! love each other 💓
BigDiggerNick Lol, upset because you didn't got any pussy or something? jeez, how do you things started wars? Fucking men. Don't give me that, "wow woman are so emotional", though men have a tendency to be extremely aggressive.. Which gender get in fights more because they get intimidated by one another? fucking men smh -_-
''it's okay if you wanna change the body that you came in'' I'm not saying she said trans rights, but she totally said trans rights :) Edit: and of course weight loss/gain, wearing make-up and plastic surgery. The most important thing is that you feel good in your body and if doing one of those things or transitioning is your way to get there you should do it! I'm supporting you ♥

This song reminds me of when I was talking to a bunch of ladies at church and one of the lady was saying how women need to work together and empower each other because we were always taught to compete each other, comparing each other who's the "most beautiful", "most lovable", while men were all about team work and sportsmanship. Y'all are indescribably beautiful, ladies, inside and out!
"Men are about team work and sportsmanship" HAhahahhaHahaHHAHAHhaHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH. I can't even 'express' how untrue that statement is.
That's actully me but my best friend told me I should try to wear braids and nicer clothes thing is earlier when we were still in a fight she told me she thinks and am pretty ten minutes later she says that
Can’t express how much i love the message behind this song. Women- let’s change our emotions towards each other. Less competition, and realize how much we have in common
i think you're mind would change if they picked like one really fat person who is dirty af and then one who has anorexia and then all those other things you would feel superior to
You are UNIQUE You are BEAUTIFUL You are STRONG You are a WINNER You are SMART You are COURAGEOUS You are CREATIVE You are GRACEFUL You are POWERFUL You are EXCITING You are FUN You are LOVED You are BRILLIANT You are PERFECT So don't change The way you are Have a beautiful day!

Hello Lilly I love u so much
I love the message of this song. ❤
This was beautifully worded 🤩
This is a very shallow take. She inhabiting different personas, not just looks.
I am far from being feminist, but this song urges me to say "GIRL'S POWER"

When I was younger I was a "Not like other girls" girl. I've gotten older and realized that there's nothing wrong with liking more 'girly' things. "Not like other girls" phases happen because society teaches us that masculine things are better and should be valued above more feminine ones when there's nothing wrong with liking either one. This isn't intended to be against more masculine women, if you're not hurting anyone like what you like.

"You're not like other girls", can never be a compliment
Why?
@@Me-nz5rb It’s a backhanded compliment. It’s unintentionally/intentionally degrading to other women. Compliments shouldn’t include putting down others.
literally, just because they had a bad experience with one or two girls doesn't mean we're evil or something like that... plus if something wasn't meant to be or we just don't like someone then we're not gonna be with them... that's how life is, you can't always get what you want, people just need to realize that
Yes don't degrade any gender. Respect all genders equally because we all are humans. Girls are also also humans not less than humans.
@Solangelo Fan it's suggesting that there's something wrong with being like "the other girls". Degrading my gender is not a compliment, because I love being apart of it

Finally an artist that can celebrate all women with a song and not put anyone down, you're an inspiration
Valentina exactly.

Empress ugh ikr

Hi
*"Somedays you feel so good in your skin, but it's ok if you wanna change the body that you came in. Because you look greatest when you feel like a damn queen"*
I feel that this line is so important. It shows that it's ok to feel insecure and you should do whatever makes you feel comfortable. If you want to wear makeup or lose weight (edit: HEALTHILY) (etc.) to feel more confident, it's ok to do that and you shouldn't be hated on for doing so.
Exactly

I know what that's like
Pinhead Larry Yea, they're really starting to nail that false confidence formula down huh?

Instead, it's saying that every girl is unique and powerful in their own way.

I think some people have the meaning wrong, the meaning is that *all* girls are different, ("No two are the same").
It's saying despite this she wants to be like them because they're all great despite their differences ("I wanna be like most girls.")
So, the message of this song is:
Every girl is different in their own way, but no matter who they are, they are all amazing.
(Also, to never tell a girl she's not like most girls or else she'll make an entire song on you)

Your music makes every day better.
Thank you! I'm just going off of personal experiences lol.

If a guy tells a girl shes not like other girls and she comes back with this BS, she is a damn fool lmao. Be like the rest and not be yourself, great message IF what you are saying IS her message.....
@@Lion-O-Richie2040 now tell me why do you think most girls are disgrace?
I love how she doesn't slut shame but she also doesn't call any girl a prude
She's saying that if you want to change yourself for the better, it's not a bad thing, because if you love yourself, you'd try to better yourself. In a world with modern things like the Fat Acceptance movement, it's nice to finally hear someone make sense, this is probably the smartest song I have heard in a long time!
Rainbow Music muse or fat (kinda)
Grizz, Ice 66 G -Pan, and Ice Bear bbb
fat isnt healthy but is not ugly
I love this song. 👏🙌 And I agree Rainbow Music Muse..
It's 2023 and I'm still listening to this meaningful music. I really love this ♥️

Regularly too! Will always be a hit!
GURL, she looks good in everything! ROCK IT! This song was like my favorite for 2 years... it still is! Hailee is such an empowering role model!
she should be as famous as Selena, Ariana etc. Her message is so empowering
Aneeka Reghunathan True that! “But it’s ok if you wanna change the body that you came in”
This is a little dog
Bill Biggle I don’t know if your joking or not but if you are not go back to sleep and starve
Legend says that guy is still sitting wondering what he did wrong
legend says that it's been two years and he still has no idea what he did wrong
I don't get what he did wrong
ni0game by saying she wasn’t like most girls, he was attempting to lift her up by dragging other girls down.
Meesa Pineapple by the way what went wrong
Why the 🔇would you just leave he did nothing wrong at all. Your the one he should have dumpd and walked off on.
that guy: you are not like most girls
hailee: i am about to end this man's whole career
@Raphael Plett do you get the song? She wants to be like most girls, and it's actually a compliment, yes, so 🤷♀️
@Raphael Plett everything. by saying that you assume that all the other girls are like the clones to each other.
@Raphael Plett you tell me
i am not like most girls
and learn to kiss me with your eyes closed
something about the phrase - something about
how i have to be unlike the women
i call sisters in order to be wanted
makes me want to spit your tongue out
like i am supposed to be proud you picked me
as if i should be relieved you think
i am better than them

This song just roasted all the "I'm not like other girls"
@Nicole Mhlope isn't everyone tho?
Not really, when you're an immature girl society imprints upon you this terrible picture of how "most girls" are, and this actually helps you go above that stupid stereotype.
Same
@ksts45Ⓐ Ik that but embracing your uniqueness by saying "I am tired of girls" or "girls are weird" is bad.
Though I agree in both things like “most girls” and that everyone is different.
girls:
liking makeup, skirts, feminine things: basic
liking sports, acting more masculine: trying to be “quirky” and pick me girl
can we do anything without getting criticized?
Fr
@@TheBlkKat yeah that’s what pick me is supposed to be but people use it wayyyyy too often nowadays it seems like
@@agentp821 yeah... people have a tendency to twist words to mean something completely different than was originally intended especially if the word hits one of their insecurities.
unfortunately, no. which means do whatever you want because your feedback will be the same either way. embrace not caring and doing you anyway! 😊
'some days you feel so good in your own skin'

Iisuperwomanii reference....I love this song fr creating love fr girls...thx fr creating difference...I lv u Lilly!
Second I was the lyrics when a comment like this show up wtf

I don't know if I'm the only one that thinks this song makes me feel worth it... When I was stressed because of studies or big competitions, this song just like kinda raised my mood!! GO GIRLS!!! Youre not alone! ;)
Most girls will appreciate this music because it is all about girl power. To all the girls out there, I love y'all! #girlpower
What about man power?
I prefer human power, we should all be equally great.
Alleigh Bal well thats feminisim

Yasss gurls we gotta empower each other in stead of bashing others for their chooses. Come on girls, we are so smart, powerful and diverse and that's okay! love each other 💓
So nice to see the real ladies out there in the world inspiring each other.
BigDiggerNick Lol, upset because you didn't got any pussy or something? jeez, how do you things started wars? Fucking men. Don't give me that, "wow woman are so emotional", though men have a tendency to be extremely aggressive.. Which gender get in fights more because they get intimidated by one another? fucking men smh -_-
''it's okay if you wanna change the body that you came in''
I'm not saying she said trans rights, but she totally said trans rights :)
Edit: and of course weight loss/gain, wearing make-up and plastic surgery. The most important thing is that you feel good in your body and if doing one of those things or transitioning is your way to get there you should do it! I'm supporting you ♥

Such an inspiring and powerful song still in 2024!!! 🫶🏻
This song reminds me of when I was talking to a bunch of ladies at church and one of the lady was saying how women need to work together and empower each other because we were always taught to compete each other, comparing each other who's the "most beautiful", "most lovable", while men were all about team work and sportsmanship.
Y'all are indescribably beautiful, ladies, inside and out!
men are not all about team work and sportsmanship lol
"Men are about team work and sportsmanship"
HAhahahhaHahaHHAHAHhaHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH. I can't even 'express' how untrue that statement is.
"Nothin' but sweatpants lookin' like a princess"

That's actully me but my best friend told me I should try to wear braids and nicer clothes thing is earlier when we were still in a fight she told me she thinks and am pretty ten minutes later she says that
Lana Bugarin gril
Lana Bugarin makayla is. A. Girl
Lana Bugarin zenia. And. Makayla. And. Jenashia Quinn Quinn Quinn Quinn
Lana Bugarin thats me i hae dresses and i love sweatpants
Can’t express how much i love the message behind this song. Women- let’s change our emotions towards each other. Less competition, and realize how much we have in common
Nouuuuranlovesadam you realise that one of the lines is 'no 2 are the same'
Nouuuuranlovesadam ur right
Nouuuuranlovesadam yes!
of course you have a lot in common if all girls are acted by 1 person
i think you're mind would change if they picked like one really fat person who is dirty af and then one who has anorexia and then all those other things you would feel superior to
