So few comments here about a voice that is so very special. I have studied music for almost 60 years and today watched and listened to many sopranos sing their interpretation of this beautiful aria on TH-cam, but Angela's phrasing and feel is spot on and I was unusually touched.
Angela Gheorghiu... Angelic glas... Frumusețe, talent, bunătate, muncă, ambiție, determinare, empatie... Superbă interpretare.., impecabilă..!!! Artistă de excepție, care transmite emoție, bucurie, Speranță...! Mulțumesc frumos, Angela Gheorghiu, pentru bucuria pe care mi-o transmiți în suflet, la fiecare apariție ! Sunt atât de mândră, că există astfel de Români frumoși și talentați, cunoscuți pe tot Mapamondul..! Felicitări, pentru tot ce faci și dăruiești oamenilor ! Mulțumesc, pentru că exiști.! I've been listening to various singers' performances of this aria today, and hers is the best I've heard. I also think young Katie Marshall rocks it, but Katie's a bit raw. Gheorghiu is such an artist, and such a beautiful, rich voice!

Ancora una volta mi sento emozionato per la sua splendida esecuzione,senza mai forzare ma con partecipata leggerezza esegue questa dolce pagina Pucciniana. A mio modesto parere, accosto la ANGELA GHEORGHIU A FRANCO. CORELLI!!!!!!!!! Entrambi hanno il fisico, grande voce, fraseggio eccellente, armonici da lirico spinto drammatico, non li sentiamo mai in difficoltà anche sugli acuti piú impegnativi, e una dolce malia che esprimono dal loro bellissimo Volto. Grande personalità, senza mai ostentare divismo ma elegnte simpatia. Veri TITANI della lirica!!!! Brautiful💕💕
I feel goosebumps and emotional when I listen to Copacul sung by Angela although I don't understand Romanian at all. But the melody is so beautiful and I admire Angela who is one of the best musicians ever. Ciao from South Korea
