You're the man. Thank you so much. I bought my son an ebike and it came with this exact lock but the owner forgot the code. This video worked like a charm!!
This was excellent to watch. thanks for this video. I like it when a lock doesn't require that tough pull apart tensioning like this lock. Have a great weekend, cheers
Luckily this method exists ... otherwise we *would* need to tension it really hard, and it's too hard for me to tension it that hard in front of the camera. Even so this nice method can be tough of fingers, so I'd recommend taking lots of breaks (and maybe some tight fitting grippy gloves). Thanks PW and have a great 2023! 😜😜
@@Swynndla the gloves are a good idea, I will try that on some other combo you have given me, help with the grip has been a big barrier to playing too much with combo locks, Though they do come in really handy when i am in hospital and need something to do with my hands but can't have picks in public. cheers
@@PocketWomen Ahhh yea I bet you are fed up with hospitals. Yea I used to practice combo locks on the bus. I tend to tension locks too hard, and I overlook methods that require less tension. Hope you well PW.
Thanks so much. My daughter had one of these from new months ago and decided to put a code in without committing it to memory. This has finally allowed me to decode it. I'd even tried brute forcing all 10,000 combos but must have had the numbers slightly off 🤦♂🤦♂
Fantastic that you got it open! Yea it's frustrating to go through all 10,000 combinations and it still not open ... sometimes if you're not pulling quite straight then it doesn't open when you go past the correct combination. Also, it's so mind-numbingly dull that it's easy to misremember where you're up to. But I'm so glad you got it open and this method was helpful! 😜😜
I did the same - brute force all combinations but the latch was a little stuck and must have blown past it. Took better part of a year (I didn’t need this lock as I had a backup). Tried this and had it open in 10 minutes.
I wonder how many others are shouting at you about that left hand wheel. That's a nice method to remember. I find that bike locks fall into two categories, easy or very difficult, that looked to be in the last class. Well done.
Thank you! ... yea if I had gotten the first wheel correct then the rest would have fallen into place quickly. I preferred to show my real attempt rather than re-film it as I didn't wont to give a false impression of how easy it is. It certainly is one of the tougher locks to decode - well done Kryptonite! Thank you for your nice comment and I hope your 2023 is going great! 😜😜
Oh thank you for watching my friend. Yea it can be easier using that method. The indirect method worked but it required so much strength I couldn't show it on camera (as I'd have to hold it out in front of the camera and then it would be too hard for me to tension that much). Have a great time enjoying 2023! 😜😜
Excellent! Well done for getting it open 😜😜Remember, don't lock up something really valuable with a cheap locks (or a lock on the cheaper side). Cheers and have a great day!
Nicely done! I love this method, it seems kinder on the hands than applying full tension. I wonder if the 4/0 and 8/4 confusion was because of false gates 4 positions off from the true gate? Odd that the false gates wouldn't be offset by 5 and keep some symmetry.
Thank you! Yes I was wondering the same thing ... it was a little bit too subtle to detect a pattern. If I find one I'll let you know. Yea I tried the indirect method on this lock and it was very tiring. I couldn't show it on camera as I couldn't hold it in front of the camera and generate that much force 😜😜Cheers and have a great 2023!

Hey, thanks for your videos :) any chance you've ever had a go at a blusmart combination bike lock?... I've been trying different methods and can't seem to open it :/
Ahh yea the method thieves do ... they don't mess about with trying to decode locks. If someone is going to lock up their bike then they should get a big thick cut-resistant one! Cheers
These locks are not straight forward, and it helps to have strong fingers etc. I have links to alternative methods in the description, and one of those might work for you - especially th-cam.com/video/7xclCie_sxc/w-d-xo.html ... or this one if you are strong: th-cam.com/video/Rn_Q3zWQhCY/w-d-xo.html (as that one needs constant strong tension). Good luck!

This worked surprisingly quickly without having to mess with tensioning. Cheers!

I’ve watched that video by vuaeco before, he shows a couple of interesting techniques. I think you were right not to reshoot the video.
Helped me open a lock that I couldn't remember the code to. Worked very quickly. Thanks much!
