      Thank you SO MUCH! It's been through many iterations now, but it's a must for me!

    I absolutely love how yours are Every Day CONVENIENCE items. I am much more likely to need to get a mustard stain out of my shirt than have to snare wildlife in order to survive. Tide stain stick over hunting gear. Thanks for your great ideas.

      Glad you like it! "More likely to need to get a mustard stain out of my shirt than have to snare wildlife"- This is exactly the sentiment behind it all.

    #1 convenience item coworkers ask me for: a stamp! Save them from waiting in the post office line on my lunch hour. I also like the disposable single dose eye drops. Press and seal glad wrap makes the smallest “containers” for a single dose of Advil. What info would you need is your cell phone battery died or you lost your phone? In a day of speed dial, write the few phone numbers, like your spouse (LOL) so you can ask someone to dial them.

      Writing some info down on some of this wet in the Rain paper is a great idea!

    New and useful takeaways for me were the pre-threading of the needle and that mini balloon strobe light.
    Have you checked out those 3M Extreme Notes for jobsites? They can be picked up at Home Depot and Lowe's. Weather resistant and extra sticky.
    Got a bunch on clearance one day and use them in place of Rite In Rain paper in all my packs + kits.

      The rugged sticky notes are those 3m extreme ones- I just couldn't remember the name 😅 They're great for sure! I have a few stuck here and there in my kits. Probably a better idea than just loose paper slips, even if they are rite in the rain. Thanks for the tip and making me reconsider!

      @@ConansEasyDadCarry Look at that, we were on the same page and didn't even know it. ☺️
      Yup, I have even used them outdoors on various pots + random containers to label seedlings and they held up really well long-term. Even with all my haphazard watering. 😁

    I think it’s a good kit. One suggestion would be to look at Alox Swiss Army knives. The Alox classic is very thin. Also, a Leatherman PS4 is thicker but adds pliers and a two dimensional Philips head screwdriver.

      I'll look into it! I try to keep the tin stuff pretty cheap, so this really is just to augment in case of emergency. As far as tools, I always have either a full size multitool on me, or at least my Gerber Dime.
      Thanks for the suggestions!

    Never thought of the jeweller's tool. Thanks for the great video! Does your wife have her own tin? What would be in it?

    • @ConansEasyDadCarry
      @ConansEasyDadCarry  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love the little drivers! Pack anywhere and super handy.
      The wife *does* have one I made her a couple years ago. She's actually working on her own video for the channel about her EDC too! Thanks for the watch!

    I wouldn't change anything except put the flashlight at the top, if you need the flashlight, you want to find it in the dark.

    Scotch tape: next time you use any kind of label, save the backing. Trim to the side of the altoid box and stick small strips of scotch tape on it. It stays on but come off easily and ready to use!

      …trim to the SIZE of….

      @@TravelProAlexVery helpful tip but which machine should be used for trimming it ?
      I am asking this because I am making Altoids stationary kit.
      Please suggest -
      1) Liquid glue which can be used repeatedly
      2) Transparent tape which can be cut without scissors
      3) Compact slim stapler

    Smart vid, thanks. Definitely not overkill, I would add water purification tabs though if you get outdoors.

    I recently posted my own Altoids tin vid. I like the tin because once you open the lid, the inside of the lid is now a bench top, or at least allows you a dry, secure place to unbuild your kit to get to that one item. 👍

      @ConansEasyDadCarry  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just watched! Great kit! And I do like the lid for a "bench" while sorting for sure

    Thanks for the vid. Do you have a list of items with source?

    • @ConansEasyDadCarry
      @ConansEasyDadCarry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll go back thru and look. A lot of it is just kind of collected over time. But if there's something specific I'll try to find a source

    Subscribing to see what you come up with next. I’ve also been migrating to transparent containers such as empty gum container, or mini crazy glue container, or tic tac, etc.

    • @ConansEasyDadCarry
      @ConansEasyDadCarry  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Got some plans for some more stuff soon. I'm also playing with different containers, just to see what fits and what becomes priority depending on what I'm trying to achieve.

    A lighter can also be very convenient if you need to use someone else’s bathroom because you suddenly got the runs…light it for a few seconds and all smells will be eliminated!

    It sure is a PITA when I need to get that one little thing in the bottom of the tin. Would you put your creative mind on an alternative? Perhaps individual packets inside the tin? Or even a pouch? Clear containers or containers that open on both ends/sides? I've not seen a tin like that, but I bet you could engineer one.

    • @ConansEasyDadCarry
      @ConansEasyDadCarry  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a pain for sure. I've actually slimmed a few things down to where I probably could baggie like-purpose things together. Make it easier to shuffle through. As far as containers, I'm open to trying things if I come across something I think would work.
      And I've actually been carrying a pouch for the last couple weeks! It's going to be my next video- the review and thoughts on pros and cons! I love the tin for outdoor/survival purposes, but I've really grown attached to the little thing lately 😁

    One minor but interesting thing I learned during the Texas/Northern Mexico Winter Storm power outage (yes, even some Mexican states, like our neighbor Coahuila, lost power too) was a need for a night light. Glow sticks take up that job perfectly.
    (Bet the media nuts and Conspiracy-turds didn't tell you that Mexican states lost power as well.)
