I watched many we'll known pianists playing this concerto , they all played beautifully with excellent technique but this pianist is best , he got clean cut touch and elegant sound , brilliant powerful technique , real beauty !!!!

Orchestrally, it's exactly how Chopin wanted it. Just because it's not written like every other orchestral-concerto part does not mean that its bad. Take the 1st mvt for example: if the orchestra part were written in any other way, it would take away from the piano. Just because Chopin didn't compose a lot of orchestral music does not mean he was bad at doing so. It's how he wanted it, otherwise it wouldn't have been written.
this is superb....like pearls......very smooth, like silk......very clean, clean, clean......and great interpretation. I also like the fact that he is focused on the music and does not make weird facial expressions, or other irrelevant movements (like Lang lang) for example....just pure beauty.....I prefer over Danil Trinov actually - I used to adore Kissin, but compared to this, he is a little muddled - this pianist is so clean and great technique with the high fingers....although his pinky finger placement (looks like it is always pointing out), I find strange...but that is nit picking....I adore this pianist...the best.
honeybee I wanted to say the same thing . I hate when they don't concentrate on music ,they have ugly expressions on faces ,or they do ballet on the piano...Rafal is the best of all !
Sorry to say but the Chinese still don't understand this music. All they wish to do is appropriate and master classical music, like cloning the latest smart phone, only to come up with a cheap imitation. It's neither about virtuosity or control. Those elements are only the bottom requirements. The mastery comes from the artist's soul flowing with the spirit of the composer's vision.
