TVNZ's 10 minute program on the life and work of Max Gimblett on the occasion of an exhibition at the Auckland Art Gallery encompassing 30 years of painting, drawing, artist's books, and sculpture.
Watching and listening you realise how soaked in lies and bullshit the whole Art Scene is. Not just NZ or the USA, but world-wide. He makes out he's some kind of Zen master, he's embracing the within, or the without? He does all that yack, and... he paints blobs. No-meaning blobs. Glorified wallpaper. And because painting has lost so much of its relavance today, what he does is actually seen as Art.
love this guy. saw another doco last year which inspired me to learn more!
Why is the end aborted in the video transfer?
