When Bing Crosby did his version, he made a spectacular gaffe when he couldn't get the melody straight. That blooper is somewhere out there in the world. It may or may not be on youtube. He wore a denture, like I do, and I wonder if it wobbled on him, like mine does, at a crucial moment. Some nights I take the thing out if I'm going to sing, particularly if it's cracked, like it usually is.

Mr. Price; either Allen's neuropathy is so bad he cant play or even type anymore or he has passed away due to diabetes. In either case, at least we still have his music thanks to TH-cam. I have corresponded with Allen in the past on the TH-cam blog. I haven't heard from him in years.
