The Texans are building something special, and it starts with the guys that they recently drafted. Nico Collins, Derek Stingley Jr, Jalen Pitre, Christian Harris, CJ Stroud, Will Anderson Jr, and Tank Dell are the drafts picks that have turned this organization around.
You ain’t lying those draft picks are all contributing. And it’s crazy because people were talking crap that they took stingley instead of sauce Gardner the one hit wonder
LMAO😂 Florio said he got some Billy Baruch putter!!😂 That’s from fucking CADDYSHACK! I almost fell down laughing when he said that! OMG I haven’t laughed like this in a Long time.
Mike is becoming my favorite sports analyst to listen to. I feel like he's the ONLY reporter with no allegiances or biases, and uses his brilliance and perspective to give the audience a broader picture that just usually isn't given anywhere else. Nobody else talks about $ being reported on this deals as being "fugazi", nor insides stuff that the league maybe does, that the average joe wouldn't be privy to. Excellent work Mike.
He shits on his “team” and puts too much emotion into his opinions on how they should be ran. Florio is a miserable Vikings analyst. I’m not calling him a fan because he whines about them nonstop. I hate being a fan of that them and having a dude like this associated with my beloved team.
Good deal for both sides. Nico gets paid while being able to test free agency again when he’s 28 years old. And then nick gets a short term extension like he always wanted
Technically he did play in 15 games, but 1 of those he was injured in the first series of the game and did not return, so all those stats are even better with actually only playing 14 games.
Woa I’m not ready to say CJ Stroud is a great QB. I’m not. Not after 17 games. His rookie year didn’t set the world on fire. Justin Herbert had a better rookie year. Herbert played 15 games his rookie year and Stroud played 15 in the regular season. Look at the numbers side by side. Strounds rookie year was comparable to Baker Mayfields rookie year and Mac Jones rookie year. Yes it is. Look at the numbers guys. Mayfield Three more TDs his rookie year Than CJ Did. CJ also landed Behind a dam good offensive line. He has a top 5 left tackle.
Another major reason for the Texans turnaround and why the Texans franchise had grown to become respectable and shed the reputation of disarray and poorly run organization is because of Nick Caserio. Before Nick, the Texans under Bill O'Brien were lackluster at finding talent and value through the draft, that's why they missed more so than hit, and their draft hits weren't anything to write home about. Under Bill, their roster and salary cap management were horrendous, almost irresponsible. That's why when Nick was hired, Houston lacked future assets and draft capital, were in cap hell while having little to no valuable talents to be in cap hell. Nick literally had to scrap the entire roster, restructure contracts, and made moves to put Houston in position to capitalize
Their defense had something, but went 1-4 in games where they gave up 30 points. Their schedule is not real hard till the very end, they could start 10-2 with only offensive improvement and lose in the playoffs giving up 30+ points.
Feel like that’s the big key in this equation for the Texans being a SERIOUS contender … on paper Casario made more moves in free agency and in the draft on the defensive side of the ball so we’ll see 🫠
This is really a Bad time for most WRs. If you are an obvious WR1 and every team does not have one but if you are one of those guys you are going to get paid a lot. If you aren’t there will be lots a franchise tags and then thanks for all help but goodbye. This year Tee Higgins wil Make 21.8 from the tag but next year he won t be a Bengal anymore. My guess is he will sign with the Titans for around 25 or 26 a year. And on the Titans Tee Higgins is a number 1. On the Bengals he will always be number 2. Chase is a top 3 WR all day every day. It’s not going from 32 mil a year to 40 mil a year. It will got 33 a year. If a WR wanted 40 mil or more I would let him play his contract out And then franchise tag him 2 times and then let him go. 7 years with a 1st round pick and 6 with anything else. I would not start paying WRs 40 mil a year. I just wouldn’t do it. Even if you are fucking Randy Moss Or fucking Megatron.
This guy Florio hassss to let this whole “ this contract is a lie” shit out. And especially the Tyreek Hill not making 30Mil a year thing. We get it bro, but nobody gives af. It’s getting harder to listen to everyyyyy time
Nick Bosa is WAY overpaid. He makes 34 mil a year. Trey Hendrickson is just as good as Bosa. Yes he is look at the advanced statistics over the last 4 years. Hendrickson is right there at the top With TJ Watt and Myles Garrett. Last Yeas Bosa was like the 10th or 11th best edge in football. But he is getting paid the most😅 Anyway Hendrickson and Garrett are both make of closer to 20 mil a year. The Bengals pay Hendrickson AND Sam Hubbard LESS than the 49ers are Paying Bosa. LESS! Last year Hendrickson and Hubbard both accounted for lots and lots of pressures 125 at Least and 25 sacks. Can Bosa do that? No fucking way can he or anyone else do that. I would have franchise tagged Bosa a couple of years and then let him walk out the door.
Great deal. Nico is a fuking beast. He was basically the only reciver we had for the last half of the season once tank went down. Teams tried to take him away, threw the kitchen sink at the guy, and he still fuked them up. Showed up huge in the playoofs. Huge when we needed to beat the colts to make the playoffs. Im happy he got paid and it wasnt an outrageous number for the texans figure out. If anything we got a steal.
People need to realize Nico has been personally mentored by Andre Johnson. Houston knows he's the next AJ.
😂
That’s a little disrespectful to a hof player.

Drafted him AND Tank Dell in fantasy. Almost won the whole thing but Jamar Chase and Tua folded on me

This is a really good deal for both sides. Nico gets the bag and Caserio sticks with the long term strategy of short term deals.
Ehh, this isn't that short. It's four more years of Nico Collins. but this is a guy who will be on the team.
It's also the prime years of his career.
Before all the big deals start flying around for Chase, Jefferson and Lamb. Great contract well timed
We appreciate the Texan Coverage & This is well Deserved for Nico Collin’s but we gotta put the Work in first Before we Talk Super Bowl

Hey Florio, let’s stop with the “hit by a bus” example. We literally just lost a dude from getting pummeled by a garbage truck a couple of years ago

Diggs is making 22 million this year, Nico is only making 6.6 million this year.
Tank Dell > Nico Collins
Nicos contract is setup to end when Dell is up for his contract
Maybe, but I'll take two number 1's on my team any day. Couldn't care less who is 1A and 1B. Just stay healthy
