You just changed my life 🙌🙏🏼 it never dawned on me to “make my own”. I read your comment, made my own and it was awesome! My playing has always been very improvisational strumming to make melodies, so putting pressure on myself to learn chords in a traditional way always jammed me up because I have small hands and I can’t seem to accomplish the chords they teach so high up on the neck. Making “my own” worked and I created full chord sounds I that love! Thank you for the inspiration to improvise and improve 🙌🙏

The highlighting the note you're teaching and playing the major and minor form of it as well as the placement of the guitar chart. Sounds like simple, obvious things. But, a lot of instructors don't take the time to do stuff like that and they LOVE hearing themselves talk.

I have been playing basic chords, now I am playing more difficult chords such as b minor,, b f #,, and now I have more rhythm tempo, timing, melody, harmony to my learning on guitar, been writing loads of songs, with now I have back track music to my voice, which has improved rapid, keep learning folks go on to you tube folks type in Brians songs

I've been playing for 5 yaers and I have very little "natural" ability for music, yet I managed to become very good at playing guitar and violin (played latter since 2004 in school only). All it takes is hard work and dedication to become good. You'll get better! EVery guitarist was in the same situation as you, so you can do it!
Best advance for barre chords… use your bone of your finger don’t focus on slamming or applying ungodly amount of pressure just use your bone and KEEP PRACTICING! YALL GOT THIS

I’m trying to work on singing and playing the right chords at the right time 🤣 I wasn’t playing consecutively throughout the fall, so that adds to the slow progress. But I’m taking private lessons in the summer semester so I’m very excited for that and now that I have a guitar that fits me ive been playing daily, hoping to keep it up ☺️

U guys might wanna put your index as near as possible to the fret(those thin metals that are inbetween fretbars). It'll make you reach less and most of the time, if done correctly, it'll automatically be pressing those string down with ease.

Nice job! Technically your B chord is a slash chord though since you're barring the low E (string 6). In particular, B/F# since F# is lower in pitch than the root note of the chord on the A string (string 5). It's still B though and works!
Minor's are usually used to play sad or depressing songs and Major is used for more uplifting songs. You can sorta tell from the tone. One sounds a little depressing than the other while the other one sounds uplifting.

To all of you getting frustrated because can't play the Chords, don't give up, practice, and you will be able to play them.Guaranteed!I've got all of them shown in this video (and some others) down, the only one that I still have problems playing is the B major, it really needs your hand to stretch a lot to bring fingers 234 on the 4th freight, while keeping the barre` on the 2nd freight...
I was able to learn these chords (still working on the barre chords) and hear exactly how each one should sound. Everyone on TH-cam talks, stops and talks again when it comes to teaching chords. It is hard to see where their fingers are placed and how they are placed. It is hard to figure out exactly how they should sound when they stop, talk and move on to the next chord later on in the video. I am sure I am not the only one looking at all the videos and getting frustrated from, not only these issues, but guitars being too far away from the camera and having dark backgrounds. This video is in order, has the letters showing so there is no confusion, has the right colors and lighting to see what is being done and the best part is there is absolutely no talking. Could you please make a video for just Barre Chords (with the blue background) from fret 1 all the way to 10 or 12 (not sure where it stops)? I am sure a lot of us would greatly appreciate it.

Moon walk hi and yea if you.always use your guitar it will not bleed but it will like have a skin like example you have a thing to pull off and so that is what u will do if it is dry and dont worry why? Try tilting ur finger just a bit.And putting your thumb on the middle of the neck,helps you press it down easier.Or it might just be your guitar.If it has a high action (string distance from the neck) than you wont be able to get a clean sound.I had a cheap 50 dollar guitar i first learned on And it was such a pain until i bought a tanglewood.

honestly, it doesn't matter if you can't get the chords perfectly, after 1 year of playing guitar the chords came naturally. I always had a problem with the F chord and the C chord, but hey look at me now I can play them with no problems at all.. just go and learn some new songs and the chords will come naturally

GamersRevengeUK A chord is a combination of notes, not simply a shape or pattern. There are MANY different ways to play a G chord. The notes which need to be present are G, B, and D. Therefore, both are correct.
Lot of people call that the "Neil Young G" - he uses that G-shape a lot, as do many folk and country players. It's a also great because by moving only fingers 1 and 2 over you can also get a nice C major chord, while you leave fingers 3 and 4 locked-off on the 3rd fret of string 1 and 2.

over time youll be able to do it, just relax dont press too hard you'll get it eventually

Nina it's because of the barre chords, to make it easier you just have to practice on how you put your finger on the strings. Don't give up :)

To all of you getting frustrated because can't play the Chords, don't give up, practice, and you will be able to play them.Guaranteed!I've got all of them shown in this video (and some others) down, the only one that I still have problems playing is the B major, it really needs your hand to stretch a lot to bring fingers 234 on the 4th freight, while keeping the barre` on the 2nd freight...
I was able to learn these chords (still working on the barre chords) and hear exactly how each one should sound. Everyone on TH-cam talks, stops and talks again when it comes to teaching chords. It is hard to see where their fingers are placed and how they are placed. It is hard to figure out exactly how they should sound when they stop, talk and move on to the next chord later on in the video. I am sure I am not the only one looking at all the videos and getting frustrated from, not only these issues, but guitars being too far away from the camera and having dark backgrounds. This video is in order, has the letters showing so there is no confusion, has the right colors and lighting to see what is being done and the best part is there is absolutely no talking. Could you please make a video for just Barre Chords (with the blue background) from fret 1 all the way to 10 or 12 (not sure where it stops)? I am sure a lot of us would greatly appreciate it.

Moon walk hi and yea if you.always use your guitar it will not bleed but it will like have a skin like example you have a thing to pull off and so that is what u will do if it is dry and dont worry why? Cause after you experience that pain on ur finger from the guitar, your skin on ur finger will be hard like kinda thick then you will not have a hard time pressing the chords cause it doesnt hurt anymore :)

I’m 13 and always wanted to play guitar I started a week ago and my fingers haven’t gotten used to all this yet. Still practicing A chord B a little hard for me since my fingers are a little short lol
Edit. Started last summer and haven’t stopped since. Currently learning my second solo on acoustic guitar which has a really hard shredding part songs called darkness fell if anyone wants to see

I just can't do the minors I can't get my index finger to properly push down the strings as I focus on the frets too
I can't push down hard enough because of how small my hand is xD
Try tilting ur finger just a bit.And putting your thumb on the middle of the neck,helps you press it down easier.Or it might just be your guitar.If it has a high action (string distance from the neck) than you wont be able to get a clean sound.I had a cheap 50 dollar guitar i first learned on And it was such a pain until i bought a tanglewood.

honestly, it doesn't matter if you can't get the chords perfectly, after 1 year of playing guitar the chords came naturally. I always had a problem with the F chord and the C chord, but hey look at me now I can play them with no problems at all.. just go and learn some new songs and the chords will come naturally

Why on the G Major are you putting your 3rd finger on the B string 3rd fret? I was always taught for that to be open?
GamersRevengeUK A chord is a combination of notes, not simply a shape or pattern. There are MANY different ways to play a G chord. The notes which need to be present are G, B, and D. Therefore, both are correct.

Lot of people call that the "Neil Young G" - he uses that G-shape a lot, as do many folk and country players. It's a also great because by moving only fingers 1 and 2 over you can also get a nice C major chord, while you leave fingers 3 and 4 locked-off on the 3rd fret of string 1 and 2.
For C chord I like to play putting 3rd finger on low E string and pinky on the 5th string 3rd fret. Sounds nicer.

Classical Acoustic is definitely the best out of the acoustic guitars, but Electric guitar is much different in the style you play it!
