I have been dealing with perimenopause since 2014 and since Oct 2018 I have been having constant leg cramps and back pain and dry mouth never thought it could be from my perimenopause. Glad I found your videos.
I started getting the 'burning tongue' syndrome last year and the dry eyes. I now have a bottle of eye drops next to my bed for when I get up--then I'm good for the rest of the day. As for the 'burning tongue' , when I first got it, I actually thought I had burnt my mouth---then I thought I had thrush--lol ---turns out it was the menopause. After investigating, I found out my grandmother had the same problem. My mother-in-law also suffered from this. My question is WHY do women keep quiet about these things? Why are women still hesitant about openly talking on going through menopause? If it wasn't for me finding Eileen and hearing her talk candidly about what we can expect to go through I'd be seriously thinking I was going crazy.
Hi Antoinette Glad to be of help! It is still a bit of a mystery why it is not talked about but things are getting better and we are trying our best to get as much information ‘out there’ as possible!
Dry mouth is driving me crazy! I started taking Camu Camu Amla and cod liver oil. When I remember to take it, it seems to help. I do drink a good amount of water already. Prickly ash bark stimulates things too but it just tastes bad. I’ll try ginger and seabuck thorn oil. Thanks.
Oral 7 Products - Mouth gel, wash, and toothpaste help. They contain the natural enzymes that are needed in saliva to protect teeth and gums. Just recently started struggling with this. It's awful, thanks for the video.

@@AvogelCoUk Thank You Eileen I'll get back to U in a few months to let U know how well Sea buckthorn oil helps my dry mouth & throat. Please make more video about perimenopause. It's not fun going through :( Oh and I subscribed :) & Thank You again
@@veenaveenavedamurthy850 Hi Veena I did took Sea buckthorn everyday for 4 months and it wasn't helping me at all. I gave up and stop taking it, So instead each day I drank tons of water and change my diet eating more fruits and leafy green and cut down on carbs and less salt. I also walk around the neighborhood each day for half an hour. Walking each day helps my insomnia as well. My dry mouth disappeared all sudden. Lady if ur in Perimenopause or menopause please drink more water. especially during summer time. Dry mouth is no fun and I went through and I do not wish anyone getting it.
Hi Ismeta This is a really difficult question, the average time span is approx 5 years but some women can have it much shorter and other women much longer, sorry.
The fall in hormone levels during the menopause can cause lots of symptoms, such as dry mouth or tongue etc. Although, there can be various reasons for a sore throat, and if it is persistent it is best to get it checked out, first of all.

I would like a friend of the menopause that I can share my views it's terrible.
Hi Sharon, Unfortunately, we don’t offer a chat forum, sorry, but you are welcome to make any comments or ask questions here
It's sad that we don't. This "curse" is bad enough without sharing information.
I know especially for Women of Color. We don’t tend to talk about these things.
All the way from Republic of Ireland filipino. All the sign and symptoms I have. 49 years old
