I think I understand what was presented. Watched two other videos on youtube and came away without any real knowledge. While one of the videos had a caliper on the tabletop, he never used it. This video the caliper was used and then referenced back to documentation. That is what I was looking for.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video, we're glad you enjoyed it! Stay tuned as there's much more videos coming in our Heads Up for Hosers series.
Yes, but as indicated, you should still use a thread tape or pipe dope to seal the threads properly: greggdistributors.ca/adhesives-sealants-and-tape/Thread-and-Gasket-Sealants/Pipe-Sealant-Tape/jjjtst1 greggdistributors.ca/adhesives-sealants-and-tape/Thread-and-Gasket-Sealants/Pipe-Sealant/jjjtf15

At 5:49 in video there is a large internal taper on NPT fitting. Does this have any sealing function or is it just the way it is machined internally.
Yes, it does have a sealing function. The purpose of this is better explained in our NPSM video: th-cam.com/video/VfnNYKjM8Bo/w-d-xo.html
Whether BSP or BSPT thread require sealant as NPT ?
Check out this Heads Up for Hosers episode for more info on BSPT threads > th-cam.com/video/0MQH-F1AShM/w-d-xo.html
Is it possible connect a npt male 1/2 to 1/2 nptf female?
Yes, but as indicated, you should still use a thread tape or pipe dope to seal the threads properly:
