just dawned on me that if I mount my RTT onto the crossbars, it's easily accessible as it's merely held down by the allen bolts and washers. Do you guys have recommendations for a more secure solution other than those supplied allen bolts?@@yotaxpedition
I get a significant whistling noise beginning at 60 mph and gets even louder above 60. I installed the wind fairing flush with the side rails as recommended. Excellent installation video too by the way...👍👍
Great choice on the rack! It’s so well built by such an awesome company. I hade a custom cutout done for my diode dynamics lightbar into my full size fairing & it looks so clean/custom.
Yeah, the guys over at Sherpa are good people. We've been working with them and have most of their products listed on our site. We also have the short fairing to run a light bar. The install video will be done on that soon.
Nice video! The prinsu rack is similar but some people have had issues with the T bolts and screws in general rusting and corroded and now the have a stainless steel hardware package . What material is Sherpa crestone hardware made of ?
The stock TRD Pro roof rack is loud. If you’re running with no roof rack at all or just roof rails with no cross bars, it’s better of course… but the dumb basket the Pro comes with is loud, high clearance and impractical. I had a Gobi on for a couple years, switching out to this… hoping to see how the noise and MPG compares.
1 person = roughly two hours. Great step by step video. It made for a flawless install.
Thanks for the feedback!
Best installation video. Installed mine back in February to this video and its been solid!
Awesome! Glad to hear that.
Installed this 4 months ago and it’s gorgeous and super useful. I did the install by myself and your video made it super easy. Thanks guys!
Awesome to hear! Glad we could help
thank you for showing me the right way to install this rack.
Glad we could help!
wow, this install video just swayed me from prinsu to sherpa. thank you
Nice! Let us know if you have anymore questions about the roof rack.

Great tutorial- thank you. Very helpful when installing my crestone sport- end part just used the online pdf instructions provided by sherpa.
Glad we could help!

Try moving the fairing up or down and see if that helps with wind noise.
@@yotaxpedition Will do…thanks.
That really looks great! is there anything for existing 4R TRD roof racks, front half to complete into a "full roof rack" look?
Sorry, I don't think anyone offers something like that. Only full replacement.
How’s the functionality of the sunroof with the full rack?
No interference at all!

Will you please do a video/review of the Crestone Sport rack?
At some point I'm sure we will. We did the sport model for the Tacoma. Do you have any particular questions about the sport?
@@yotaxpedition I would just like to be able to compare the two versions. There are no videos that i can find on the sport version.
Nice video! The prinsu rack is similar but some people have had issues with the T bolts and screws in general rusting and corroded and now the have a stainless steel hardware package . What material is Sherpa crestone hardware made of ?
The T nuts are stainless and the standard bolts are black oxide steel but they do offer stainless bolts.
No silicone around the rubber feet to help prevent leaking?
Silicone is not necessary but wouldn't hurt. The Sherpa feet have rubber that acts as a seal.
Do you cut the rubber trim in the track out to fit the front shoes or do you just lay the shoes over it?
No cutting on the 4Runner rack
How high does it stick up above the shark fin? I only have about 3” of clearance above the shark fin with my garage door. Thanks
Maybe 3/4 to 1" above shark fin
@@yotaxpedition thanks!
Do u have a half roof rack for 4runner trd offroad premium 2021? Thanks
Yes we do have the half option on the site! Check it out! yotaxpedition.com/products/needle?variant=43646676697324
Is the sport roof rack capable of holding a rooftop tent?
If you want a RTT then I would suggest not getting the sport
no need to put a silicone to the hole?
Nice. How many inches did the rack add on top of the 4runner ?
Around 3-4 inches from the roof
Would a kayak fit up there no issue?
I can't see why you'd have an issue
I have to get one of these… oh, but first I need to find a TRD Off-road Premium!
How tall is the rack? How many inches above the truck does it sit?
About 4.25"
How loud is the roof rack in the road? Be honest please planning to buy this
It’s def noticeable. Def not gonna be like stock. But if you need the roof rack it’s worth it.

How do we get those YOTA decals ? 😁
Are you looking for something small or like what we have on the side?
@@yotaxpedition looking for the ones on the side ......I have a nautical blue trd offroad .....
Mines leaking super bummed i watched clly at the lil rubber on the washers till it barely startrd to crush now what
Tighten them more or take the bolts out and put some silicone in the holes and reinstall.
Any water leaks?
Nope! Everything has been good so far
Any sign of leaks?
No problems yet! Been on the truck for at least 6 months.
@@yotaxpedition Still no leaks after a year?
15:20 attention to detail. Are you a veteran? 😂
Lol, that my ocd kicking in
Helpful except for skipping the front foot assembly…
