Tyler, I've been watching for awhile now, mostly listening when I'm doing my industrial design coursework, and I want to say that you are such a phenomenal educator. You're calm, collected, and overall generous with your wealth of knowledge! Definitely one of my favorites on the platform!

This is just rammed full of useful lighting tips! Thank you, Tyler. (If only I had seen this before starting my current painting I probably could have saved 10+ hours, but I digress).
Would you consider doing an instructional video like this for an outdoor night scene with perhaps the subtle light of a full moon, and other sources like torches, candles, &/or something bioluminescent?

Hello, so is it okay that you cant change the light direction afterwords? What i am struggling is if i should paint hard light at the end or beginning. In the beginning, i can go with the light source like you and paint the entire environment using that as a base but later if i want to change light i cant, in the end if i use blending options to paint hard light i can edit if i want to change something. According to industry standards, is it okay if i use one light direction permanently and paint all environment on it.

At around 1:20 all the colors were tinted by the light which is a yellow/warmer tone.
Why is it that the blue floor wasn't tinted and as affected? Any way to decide how much of that tint to put?

Is there like a software or application where you can play with lights on objects? Kinda like daz studio which helps for posing human figure references but instead focuses more on lighting?
