    Totally agree with you bro this 6x6 is brilliant. Awesome crawling track you made with the 6different levels of crawling . Nice upgrades too eventually I ended up changing my electrics too lol . Thanks for sharing buddy 😎👍

    Great unboxing and testing! the only problem I've got with it is that you've already changed the motor receiver and servo so we don't really get to see what it's like straight out of the box!!!
    But good job anyway

    • @RCTNT

      Thanks. You're right, and it's an atypical video on my channel in that regard. But I wanted the TRX6 for that weekend for an event and just needed it done!!
      I still have the OEM gear so I guess I could bang it all back into stock form... but if it helps, the truck could still do all 6 problems in the wet in stock form, I bet. It would be rougher and less satisfying and the steering servo would be threatening to go on strike or have a stroke or something like that for the duration, but it'd get there!
      For most vids I work to keep things as stock as possible for as long as possible so folks can get a realistic idea of likely performance and durability, etc. The TRX6 was sacrificed to expediency here - won't happen again! (Probably!)

    I have black and silver g63 bodies.. the black one I treat badly as the silver looks much better in person so it stays shelf worthy with accessories.❤

    You just convinced me to stop kicking the can down the road and get one of these trucks. I have two of the new Fusion Pro SE 1800Kv motors and I hope one of them will be adequate for this crawling machine. Thanks again for the great content!

      Oh nice, it totally will be. That's one of the finest integrated systems ever made, I think. The TRX6 will otherwise just need a servo upgrade once you toast the stock one and you'll be set. Absolutely brilliant machine with those simple enhancements! You'll love it.

    Spot on! Not only did it do it in the wet but this tire tread isn't the best as you proved in your other video. Are they dual stage foams? I haven't opened mine and Traxxas does make dual stage foams in the traxxas 2.2 Canyons so maybe these are? This truck seems expensive but considering what it can do with just a servo upgrade and 3s makes it a lot cheaper than building some other crawlers. I cut off most of the body's front and rear bumpers for crawling and changed the motor, esc, radio for fun. With a 5 channel you can put each diff on its own channel for freedom w/o mixing. And love the lights with voltage box, 2 speed, and locking diffs. If I could only have one this would check all the boxes and leave room for customizing. And it kicks the Axial 6x6 butt.

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Heh yep, my experience too.
      Foams are single stage. "Good enough", they are. Same as in the canyon trails, I'm pretty sure.
      This thing out-crawls the Axial, yep! Been there, done that!
      It's a lot of RC for the money, honestly. I really like this thing!

    Yeah, that car is one of my dream RC cars that I'll probably never own, the other is the Summit from same manufacturer, heh...
    It's so cool, I have to say! I've seen lots of videos with it and of course I feel like owning one, but I think I have to prioritise... I can build a couple nice Tamiya buggies for that price...
    Very cool how it did in the wet, I reckon it was mid winter where you are.

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@usdennis1236 they're worth about the same, so if you want a capable crawler that does it all, do the trade. If you want a monster truck that can do everything kinda ok and you prefer to bash rather than trail and crawl, keep the summit. Personal preference, that one! (I'd take the trade, since you asked, but that's because I prefer trail and crawling to general bashing - cool as the summit really is).

    Hi @RC-TNT
    So I recently picked on of these up for $959 AUD and it's still in its packaging. I'm unsure whether I should keep it and grab the new SCX6 Honcho.
    I already have a Kit Capra and a Sendero HD.
    Great review as always, been following for a while and always look forward to what you have on the course. Your reviews helped me choose the Capra and the Sendero.

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh awesome, thanks Will!
      Hmm, this or the Honcho? Very different vehicles eh. I think go with whatever you think you'd want to grab more often and head out. I love the trx6, it's incredible. But if I had the Honcho I think I might even take it out more often than the Scx6 JLU! (and I take the Scx6 and trx6 out most often of any rig at the moment, they're both amazing).
      So... Good luck with that one, haha :)

    Got the same truck, did you lose the function of switching diffs with the remote since you switched to 3 channel ?

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If I'd switched to a 3 channel radio, then I possibly would have, yes. Though with a 3 channel radio, I'd set it so being in low gear would lock the diffs, then being in high gear would unlock them..
      But I switched to the dx5 rugged, which has sufficient channels (5) for independent control of everything 👍

  • @mikelewis4260
    @mikelewis4260 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is not a fair assessment of the vehicle with the upgrades you did.

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  ปีที่แล้ว

      You are correct. However, the tires and geometry are what got it over the 6 problems. Excessive brushless power and fast steering weren't needed to achieve that - but they certainly made it fun to drive!
      In subsequent videos I've gone out of my way to keep vehicles stock until testing was completed, but it didn't happen for this one!
