7 or 8 FLOORS?!? i cant even walk into Hobby Lobby, knowing where everything is and what's in there, and get out within the hour!! I would have to plan an entire trip just going to the stores!! Thanks for sharing your goodies!!
Mono/ pit are awesome. My daughter studied there for a year, and was sold on all things Japanese ! I have been since my teen years.. 50 years ago or so. I get several things from Japan and Korea. They make great products and it is whimsical and flat out fun! Great job shopping! “Jet pens” has several kinds of pens. And some stationary
I LOVE Japan!!! I went on an exchange type program for a month when I was 13 ( I am now 51, lol). I was so blessed to be able to go! It was just my mom and I living paycheck to paycheck. I had been studying Japan for quite some time on my own. Anything that would pop up in the newspapers, I would cut out and glue into my I don't even know what to call it, it was like a notebook, but made with lonnnng brads, black covers, and black paper inside plastic sleeves where you put your paper items. I hope that makes sense. I still have it! I still have all my other items from Japan as well. The best thing I have about all of it is my memories. I stayed with two host families during that time! I was amazing! I loved every minute of it! I still feel so, so blessed I was able to go and experience all that culture! When I got home I swore I was going to live in Japan after high school graduation for a year or two, and then come home. That never happened. haha. I want to go back. As an adult I have been to many other countries! lol In fact, in 2022 I think it was we went to South Korea. I was able to visit one stationary store. It was fun! I try and order Japanese and Korean stationary items online. Thank you for sharing your items! I am glad you had a great trip!!!
Oh I would love that stationary shop experience. How fun!! I asked my son to bring me stationary from his trip to Japan and he gifted me with beautiful brush pen/markers...I'm looking forward to a spread with those stickers....ty for sharing..😊
I loved the mosaic scented washi tape. You already love bright, grid, and now scented..."I just can't, you guys." And those fan shaped stickers are all Japan story. I gasped when I saw them. Out loud.
I love the stationery haul. I'm looking forward to your Japan spreads and see how you use all the stickers and pens. I love frixion pens, but I did find my ink faded over time.
How fun! I am thinking your Japan spreads will be amazing. I'm sure you will make good use of all your other finds. It will be so fun for you to go into your supplies and see things from Japan.
I’ve heard a lot about Frixion pens, too. Haven’t bought or tried them before either. Fun to see your reaction. Might have to try them now, too. The origami papers were beautiful and unique to see. Thanks!
Love all the fun stuff you got! The scented washi tape pattern is my favorite of it all because you can use it cut it and use it with one, two, or all three block widths!
LOVE seeing all of the things you bought in Japan! I would spend HOURS shopping in all of the stationery stores when I lived in there. Brings me back! 😊 I love the scented grid washi tape you found. Very cool! Can't wait to see your Japan spreads!
This reminds me a little bit of Daiso, a Japanese dollar store that we have here in the Bay Area. I’m not sure you have them in the Philly area? They have cute stationary and sticker items.
OMGoodness!!!!! I love ALL your choices!! I can't even fathom how difficult it was to decide what to come home with!! Your papers are absolutely LUSCIOUS!!! Stickers are darling! And that scented washi tape is incredible!! So happy for you! Can't wait to see what you create!!
I think the Frixion you have in the video are the Frixion markers (which is why I think they are more wet). I have Frixion eraseable pens and they aren’t wet.
What an awesome haul! Can't wait to see what you create with all your goodies. You mentioned you had never heard of scented washi,.. and I actually bought a set of scratch-n-sniff fruit scented washi at Michael's, a couple years ago...., and they still smell so nice!
Love your haul! Be careful leaving your planner in the heat if you use the Frixion pens. The ink will disappear! Sometimes you can get it to come back if you put your planner in the freezer. I learned the hard way!
What a special way to honor your son. It sounds like you had an amazing trip. I love that you gave the Sailor Shikiori brush pen a try, they are my favorite. Sailor makes great writing tools. I own a lot of their fountain pens and inks. I think your pen pals may have used fountain pens to write you letters. I know they’re very popular in Japan. They have them in many different nib sizes. Japanese nibs tend to write finer than western nibs. Anyway, hopefully you find your letters soon and can share them with us. They sound absolutely lovely. Thank you for sharing your haul with us. It was so much fun to watch. ETA: JetPens carry Iconic Double Line Markers which are similar to yours incase you’re interested in getting more.
I was anticipating this video. I am glad you made it back safely ❤ OMG with the folded paper it would be nice to print out pics of the trip and attach them then frame it. That twink pen was awesome!!
For the dog stickers, you probably already have had this idea, but I liked using them (random ones, as well as the ones I thought looked like my rainbow pup, now) as markers for dog appointments (vet or groomers or boarders, or whatever). It could be a fun / functional thing for your planning uses ... just a thought or two or three.
Love this!!! You can find those 2 color line pens at the Dollar Tree!!! They are probably a different brand but look super similar to the one you got. I LOVE frixion pens, only ones I'll use in my planner. Just make sure they don't get exposed to high heat, do not laminate!!! If you do by accident, the ink will disappear. And lastly, frixion makes a clicker point 0.5 pen that writes just like a .38. I am obsessed!! Love you girl :)
Those fans! My goodness! My brother took my niece for her graduation gift the week before you went. He said it was hot too. So I know if I ever go, go in the fall or spring
You brought back some great stuff! Those fan stickers were my favorite. I was watching this and wondering if you remember that song that came out in 1980, called "Turning Japanese?" I still think it was a fun song. It was by The Vapors if you get a minute to listen to it. 😁
I bought all the colors of Muji pens at their store in Portland. They have clickable 0.5 and the regular in .38 and 0.5. I love them all!! Thanks for sharing all your fun stuff!
I got a lot of the same pens when I went to Singapore in 2019. I’ll the juice up pens are in my top 5 favorites. I grabbed every color. I did the same with the muji store that was in the airport. I now plan to go to Japan next year, hopefully just in time all my ink runs out 😅
I love haul videos. My indecisiveness would have definitely overwhelmed me! You made great choices. I gotta get the erasables and the thicker Staedtlers. Theirs fineliners are my current favorite.
I love all the pens. I went directly to Amazon and looked up the thin uni- ball pens. They have a whole set of colors. The frixion pens you bought are their markers. I’ve used them some but I use the regular pens all of the time in my work planner and attendance book. I am always having to change things so they are perfect for that. I have a Rocketbook erasable notebook that works with these. I don’t use it much anymore but it is a great option for sharing notes.
I love the frixion pens. The downside is that you have to be careful with heat. If you leave your planners out in the sun or in your car, the ink will disappear. I journaled with one years ago and the ink doesn't stand up very well over the years, but it doesn't bother me.
@@saralaspeaks Yep same here! When I first tried frixion pens a few years ago and made a cute insert to go in my planner you can imagine my face when the insert came out the other end of the laminator blank! 😖 Lol
This was such a fun video! I especially loved the papers and am looking forward to seeing what you do with the washi and everything. My two favorite pens are 0.38 uni-ball signo. I love the clicky one because I don't have to mess with a cap, but the one with a cap (DX) writes a tiny bit smoother, and it comes in a great variety of colors.
Very fun haul! Love the Pentel Brush ups! Have you tried the Pilot Multiball? The gel ink is so dark and dries quickly, has a fine nib (packaging doesn't say what size, probably .5 or less)....plus it writes on most surfaces!
The scented washi and the Yojo grid are SO you, Mary Ellen. The problem with a Frixion pen is that if your planner gets hot (e.g.leave your planner in the car during the summer) there goes everything you wrote. I got a set of the Pentel brush pens from Amazon, and they are a bit pricey.
The Yojo thick tape looks like the bottom of a pool so it would be great in a summer spread with squad girls! I love everything you got. I just told my mom if I ever went to Japan I’d be so broke from buying all the cute stationery and bento stuff. If seriously need another suitcase for all the fun stuff I’d get!
I'm an AVID Frixion pen user and I just want to point out _not all Frixion pens are created equally_ - please try all different ones over time. There are some I adore, some I hate. My go-to is the 0.7 Frixion Clicker - but I absolutely hate the 0.5 ones (due to being opaque in my opinion). But I can't even imagine planning without my favourite Frixion pen anymore, it takes so much pressure off writing in my planner correctly at all times and I've really come to love the look of a 0.7 gel-looking pen.
What a great haul! Can’t wait to see your Japan spreads. My only complaint with Frixion is that they seem to run dry quickly. I live in AZ and have had no issues with heat making them disappear. But I don’t leave them in a hot car either.
I happened to place a hot plats of food on top of my to do list at work once. And half of my list disappeared. 😂 Otherwise I use frixion pens all the time and love them.
If the erasable pen erases with friction, make sure you don’t use it on anything that might get heated (like for laminating) or leave it in a hot car. The ink will erase! You can bring it back by putting it in the freezer but it’ll be lighter. Also, stationery pal carries those 2 line pens, a pack of 6 is like $5
Yes, the fan and the cast is very typical Japan icons. Japan is famous for cute stationary and stores. I'm surprised you didn't get more stuff like a whole suitcase full😂
As a Pilot Frixion ADDICT, I have highlighters, Stamps, 0.38 Slims, Colouring markers, Felt tip markers & Gel pens..... I use them to be more ecologically responsible with my good quality discbound notepapers ( and planner pages I don't need to keep). I can recommend a hairdryer/heat gun to erase small sections or individual pages, (covering the rest of the page ) and even do bulk erasing using a laminator while watching TH-cam etc. to give a nice clean page ready to use again! More Financially responsible for things I don't need to keep and saves trees. CAUTIONARY NOTE: Never use any FRIXION product for memory keeping, signing paperwork, or anything you might later scan or photocopy..... even being left in a hot car can erase them😓On the upside putting the pens or pages in the freezer or fridge will bring back ALLLLLLL the ink in case of ooopsies🤩
the plasticy washi tape is called "Deco tape" the only downside to frixion pens is that if what you wrote gets exposed to too much heat (left in the car/sun in the summer) then the ink disappears. you can get some of it back if you put it in the freezer but it isn't the best. but that being said, they are nice otherwise

I have the tombow correction tape and the Pentel juice up a muji retractable I got them all from stationary pal well all but the juice up I think I got those on Amazon
I'm happy to see your smiling lovely face my planner friend 😊 living vicariously through you right now! 😆🤗
7 or 8 FLOORS?!? i cant even walk into Hobby Lobby, knowing where everything is and what's in there, and get out within the hour!! I would have to plan an entire trip just going to the stores!! Thanks for sharing your goodies!!
So awesome I would have gone nuts❤so glad you all got to go in memory of dear Micheal🙏🙏also yippee you moved home at last
Mono/ pit are awesome.
I literally just left the Dollar tree and got all 6 of the 2 line pens!!! They are a total dube of these and work great!!!!
I was just checking comments to see if someone mentioned the Dollar Tree pens.❤
I love Japanese stationery! It is my guilty pleasure
I have been waiting for this video. Glad to see you smiling a lot.
I LOVE Japan!!! I went on an exchange type program for a month when I was 13 ( I am now 51, lol). I was so blessed to be able to go! It was just my mom and I living paycheck to paycheck. I’m obsessed with Frixion pens! The fineliner 0.7mm is my favorite!
The new washi looks like your fave A&O washi!! Yay for you! 🎉
I love the stationery haul. I'm looking forward to your Japan spreads and see how you use all the stickers and pens. I love frixion pens, but I did find my ink faded over time.
THIS was the video I was waiting for! Love, love, love!
I love everything! I do use the Pentel touch pens, they are a favorite! I’m so glad you had a good trip!
I adore all the cat stickers !
How fun! I am thinking your Japan spreads will be amazing. I'm sure you will make good use of all your other finds. It will be so fun for you to go into your supplies and see things from Japan.
OOOOOOOO Pentel Brush pens are my Fav brush pen...... You have all the colours, and they just make everything you write look neat and pretty
I’ve heard a lot about Frixion pens, too. Haven’t bought or tried them before either. Fun to see your reaction. Might have to try them now, too. The origami papers were beautiful and unique to see. Thanks!
Micheals has scented washi I have a strawberry and lemon one ,, how fun so glad you had a good time !!
I have some stickers like the dogs, but in cats and dew drops with faces. So cute, Sautelier is awesome
Love all the fun stuff you got! The scented washi tape pattern is my favorite of it all because you can use it cut it and use it with one, two, or all three block widths!
Great idea!!
Staedler pens are great! I use both the triplus fibre-tip and the fine liners and love them! Michaels did carry them.
What a beautiful haul. Very cool 😎

If you’re looking for refills or different colors for any of the pens you got I’d recommend jet pens! They’re based in CA and ship really fast!
Really enjoyed this video! Thank you for sharing!

If the ink disappears in the heat, put the paper in the freezer. Magic!
Yes, I got my two-color pens at Dollar Tree too.
Those frixon markers are cool! I have the frixon pens
I love the Pentel Brush markers. They are my favorite small brush pens.
Love the stationary! Wish we could get it here in the US.
I was hoping you’d share your goodies with us. Thank you.
Those fans! My goodness! My brother took my niece for her graduation gift the week before you went. He said it was hot too. So I know if I ever go, go in the fall or spring

Hello Maryellen.. Amazon has the exact brand in a 4pack for 10.00 for the 2 line pens. They have other brands too. Awesome Stationary supplies.
I got a lot of the same pens when I went to Singapore in 2019. I’ll the juice up pens are in my top 5 favorites. I grabbed every color. I did the same with the muji store that was in the airport. I now plan to go to Japan next year, hopefully just in time all my ink runs out 😅
Love this haul...I NEED one of those 2 color line pens!!! TFS!
Love, love this! You got some great stuff that is not seen much in the States. I love my Frixion pens, I don't write without them lol.
I have found some double color pens at dollar tree.
I love haul videos. My indecisiveness would have definitely overwhelmed me! You made great choices. I gotta get the erasables and the thicker Staedtlers. Theirs fineliners are my current favorite.
Love all of it. I can never have enough pens and markers…maybe rehab might be in order. 🤣
I love all the pens. I went directly to Amazon and looked up the thin uni- ball pens. They have a whole set of colors. The frixion pens you bought are their markers. I learned this the hard way when I sent a paper with this pen on it through the laminator! 😂
@@saralaspeaks Yep same here! When I first tried frixion pens a few years ago and made a cute insert to go in my planner you can imagine my face when the insert came out the other end of the laminator blank! 😖 Lol

I definitely needed to control myself bc the trip itself was so expensive and I just bought a house haha
Try Frixion Point Knock 04 pens. Ink is more opaque and very nice feel. Synergy tip technology.
The pilot brush pen is awesome. I'd take it off your hands.. 😉. I wonder if those pens are the same colors as the popular fountain pen inks. Probably!
I always forget to use my Frixion pens in my planner! I use them all the time in my sewing being they erase with heat so iron off easily.
It would be fun to frame that free paper. I found a set of colored .5 Muji on Amazon.
Yes I found them too after looking for links. A lot of this stuff you can get online but I just didn’t know it existed until I saw it there.
I'm an AVID Frixion pen user and I just want to point out _not all Frixion pens are created equally_ - please try all different ones over time. There are some I adore, some I hate. I have friXion eraseable pens that I used in my happy planner and they did fade in some places. I was super bummed.
suatelier is a korean brand :)
The stickers that are perforated in the middle is most likely Midori.
They do have the double line pens at like sationary pal!!
Yes, the fan and the cast is very typical Japan icons. Japan is famous for cute stationary and stores. I'm surprised you didn't get more stuff like a whole suitcase full😂
I have way too much stuff as it is
I'm glad you enjoyed your trip.
So cute
They have those dual ink pens in the Dollar Store !

`LOVE UNI BALL
A couple of years ago I got some scented washi tape…I think it was at Michaels…definitely one of the big 3. It was kind of weird. Lol
Japanese stickers are super adorable....the ones I've gotten have been so tiny though....and being visually impaired can't use anything anymore 😢
the plasticy washi tape is called "Deco tape"
the only downside to frixion pens is that if what you wrote gets exposed to too much heat (left in the car/sun in the summer) then the ink disappears. you can get some of it back if you put it in the freezer but it isn't the best. but that being said, they are nice otherwise
Put the vinyl stickers on a water bottle such as a hydro flask.
Yes but that’s not my plan lol
I love this haul! Interesting about the red pen being on sale, I wonder if that has anything to do with the culture's superstition about red pens, or maybe just a coincidence.
Believe it or not Temu has tapes and some of the pens. Not promoting but thought I would look... taaaadaaa there they were.
FYI on the vinyl stickers: The cat and macaron sticker literally says "neko macaron," which is cat macaron. And the lantern says "Nippon/Nihon," which is Japan.
I can't fully read the cocktail with the cat in it. Something "nomimono": [something] beverage. I think that's the kanji for cat, so it could say "the cat is a beverage" or something like that
Nice haul! I’m so happy you had a fun trip. What a great adventure.
I'm Aussie and I just paid $12 each for some vinyl stickers so around $2 is a great bargain!
These new eradable pens are not the papermate erasable pens we grew up with. Lol
Do any of the stores have online sites?!?!
This is cool. Do you recall the bRand of those first little Japanese paper squares?
No, sorry. I think it was all in Japanese
Hey! I saw those 2 line pens on TEMU!
MaryEllen You are so Beautiful ❤ 2:00
I have the tombow correction tape and the Pentel juice up a muji retractable I got them all from stationary pal well all but the juice up I think I got those on Amazon
First comment!❤
