    Trying to fit 285s on your Tacoma but you're on a budget? Here we have are bundled kit from ICON. Including front spacers and rear lift blocks. Giving you enough clearance to run the popular 285/70 tire. You will need to remove your front mud flaps and some trimming on the inner fender flare, but that's it! Great set up for someone who is looking for lifted and level look but on a budget. Now, if you are a frequent off-roader then this is not the best kit for that. Could you? Yes, we recommend a better set up.

    So what package would you recommend for off-roading and articulation? I’m looking at picking up a 1.5” icon AAL for the rear with Bilstein 5160 in the rear and 6112 in the front with 1.5” lift in the front or 2” depending on the stance I decide on. Also looking at old man emu UCAs. I was considering 255/80r17 Baja Boss ATs to try and go the pizza cutter route but it sounds like I will have to do extensive chopping if I want a lot of articulation for overlanding rocks, dirt, mud. Recommendations?

    Are there any alternatives price wise and brand for a 2nd Gen tacoma since these are made for 2015-2023? thank you 👍🏽

      Depends on how much you're going to off road. I am looking into getting 285 70 17 for my second gen, either Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek for about $300 a tire or Firestone Destination X/T for about $300 as well.

      @@bangbangninergang7573 well I'm not much of an off roader just some light trails, I've heard good things about yokohama geolandar MT 's they look bad ass and from what I heard, not too loud

    I have the fox shocks shocks and trd upper control arm on my trd pro. Know of anyone that runs this current set up that you showed and how it rides ?

    • @yotaxpedition
      @yotaxpedition  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know of anyone running the OEM fox shocks with this kit. But I'm assuming it would ride nicer. The stock Bilstein's are a bit stiff.

    I have a 2/1 leveling kit
    Do you think 285/70/17 with a -10 will rub?
    Mud flaps are off

    • @yotaxpedition
      @yotaxpedition  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes you will have to do some trimming and possibly a slight BMC

    I’m planning on buying this lift kit but I like the TRD Pro wheels that has a +5 offset. Do you think that will rub against the upper control arms? I’m planning on getting the same tires also

    • @yotaxpedition
      @yotaxpedition  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You should be OK with the trd wheels

  • @chrisking6695

    If you need to trim for this size you don’t know what you’re doing. You can literally align the truck so that the tire doesn’t rub with factory UCAs. I have 285/75/r16 which is the same diameter. No rubbing. Still have an inch to the cab mount due to alignment. But ideally if you want to maintain good caster and also have an aggressive offset for looks do the CMC.

      @wyattpressley8745 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      285/70/r17 is bigger than 285/70/r16. It is not the same diameter.

    • @yotaxpedition

      Also your wheel specs play a big roll in how much rubbing you have. Wider wheel with lower offset will rub more

      @@wyattpressley8745 why thank you captain obvious 🫠 but no one said anything about 285/70/r16
