That is way too long. You are meant to surf them shorter, since they have no nose and parallel rails: a 5'9" surfs like a 6' 1". The volume should be your guide.
@@SkipperSurfReview OK cool - I wasn't meaning to dis the way you want to surf: "the best surfer is the one out there having the most fun". With these new short shapes - you can actually get more speed and better turning arcs by having your front foot in the right place on the rocker and concave. You 'command' the rocker curve better, as design intended. If you go too long - the float feels good paddling, but you end up 'dragging' the rocker curve when you stand up because your weight is too far back on the longer rocker curve. You want a positive front foot - pushing and leading through the front concave and rails, in a sense. All the best, get a few for me.
what fins do you use?
Yu Nishimura I haven’t played with fins. I use Firewire Quad Set.
What is your height and weight? I’m looking hard at getting a 5’9 Cymatic, and I surf about the same as you
I'm 5'9" / 160 lbs. I think I sized it right. It does float well even in a 5/4 wetsuit.
What length cymatic are you on?

Totally, thank you. I definitely should’ve surfed 5’5-5’6. The volume distribution was too sensitive comparing to the Glazer🤙🏼
