I gotta say, early game the jumpscares aren't that good/scary unless they take you by suprise. But the broken glamrocks/headless freddy genuinely terrified me. And the vanny jumpscare I found to be more eerie that terrifying.
thats what i like about this. the game becomes more progressively scarier as you go making you dread to continue on. it shouldn't frighten you off from the start

I should be honest, Freddy seems to be friendly compared to the band members. He doen't want to attack the player, he's just trying to give him instructions or some missions though. He's a pretty wholesome dad :)

The lore reason is that he is in safe mode the whole game, running out of battery turns off that safe mode, making him the same controlled killing machines everyone else is, similar to when hes being upgraded, that safe mode is off, but hes in a restricted mode, messing up triggers that restrain to turn of. Its also these upgrades that lets Afton take control of Freddy in his fight,
