- When I saw the first foil tacks on Instagram I knew that I also wanted to give it a try as this combines the race foiling and my love for learning new maneuvers as a former freestyle windsurfer. I underestimated it a little bit but I am happy what I achieved in only 2.5 hours of practice.

Mega schwieriges Thema, das viel Übung braucht. Aber sehr gut erklärt und es motiviert weiter zu machen auch wenn man die ganze Zeit nur ins Wasser fliegt👍

It's hard. I recently did a drone video for a friend practicing his tack for the world-championship in silva-plana recently. The competition is won or lost by mastering this move. It's for the best of the best... good luck with everybody trying. Great to have advise from the ones trying and mastering the move.

That is fast progress there, i'm still learning to fly... My board keeps cracking in/at the deep tutle. This summer I had some good progress with learning so now I want it even more!
I'm also trying the foil tack at the moment. On IQ Foil but with an old formula board...

Tolles Video! Ich finde es immer sehr motivierend, wenn auch die Profis so viel Arbeit in neue Moves stecken müssen. Das gibt einem als amateur die Motivation auch weiter an neuen Moves zu arbeiten 🤙 mit dem Foilboard würde mega passen, da ich neben dem Studium auch gerade für ein Foilboard spare👍

Ich finde deine Videos klasse. Hab eigentlich auf ein Video über den Wettbewerb Zinnowitz gehofft 🙂 Wenn ich das Manöver einen Tag versucht hätte dann könnte man das Board nicht mehr weitergeben - die Boardnase hätte ich bestimmt erwischt 🤪
Zinnowitz Video ist mittlerweile online! Ja, ich habe mich auch auf ein paar Stellen eingestellt aber bis aufs Segel ist zum Glück alles heil geblieben.

Nice, the next thing to try now when I have learned to fly through the jibes. Do you think it can be done on low aspect foil or do you need a faster race foil?
Low aspect might even help because it is less relaying on speed

Horrible scenario... perhaps you should not include the giveaway in the title or the comments, just in the video. This way the automatic searches for the scammers and try to contact the respondents can be prevented. I don't use telegram so I could not contact the scammer, fortunately...
Instead of deleting the line, you could keep it and respond to it. It will trigger another mail to my inbox. Removing the comment does not remove my email nor tigger an email update...
@@dijkstras1972 Hi, yeah maybe that would help but at least I need to have it in the description for legal porpuses. Keeping one of the scam comments might be a good idea so everyone can see what they are looking like. I already contacted Telegram so hopefully they can stop the fake account.

Probably the best and most detailed channel. I haven't been subscribed to any channel recently, but Michele is amazing in detail.
My favourite part of him is he is telling the size of his equipment with race footages with some one to compare. It really helps studying for guys like me - maybe so called intermediate?
Also love how he is being honest like at 7:00. The feeling you can tell only when you are really into something.
My next goal is foil tack as of now.
Wish we can share the water someday.

It's strange that the foil didn't cut your limbs; it looked quite menacing. Instead of just passing through, try leaping with your whole body, using both legs to launch yourself with a 90-degree body rotation. I do this on low-volume boards like 100-115 liters, or you can also lift yourself on the boom to transfer more weight through the mast foot instead of your feet, as they disrupt balance when running. You can also try crossing the wind line at an angle of about 15-20 degrees when windsurfing with cambered sails; they require space.
But will any of this help? I'm not sure. It's a crazy idea overall, but I like it anyway.
It isn't logical to think that tacking up on the foil would work well/ reliably. I've seen Amado Vrieswijk - NB20 do it but he's got super human skills. Maybe with a freestyle board with the foil mast plate set almost as forward as for winging and with a freestyle sail that has a high clew that can drop way back. Honestly why bother ? A carving fast tack down from the foil feels good anyway and low risk.
