After around half a day steam downloads always stop working. It frezees at 0bit/s and cancels later

do you have an intel mac?

ah I see. Whiskey is for silicon macs not the intel ones, but since you have an intel mac you can actually use bootcamp which will let you run windows natively and as long as your computer is powerful enough for the game you wont have any of the issues whisky has from going through multiple translation layers

Hey! Do you know if it's possible to do this but with an external ssd? Like installing whisky, steam, and the games in an external storage instead of my mac's internal one.

Greetings. I already have this installed on my Mac m1. I wanted to use the game porting toolkit 2 for Mac with whisky but because it installed whiskywine I do not know what to do to get it working with the gptk2. And I already have the dmg folder. Any pointers on how to use the gptk2?

If you click whisky in the upper left hand corner next to the apple logo you can hit check for updates. When I updated whiskey it automatically installed GPTK 2. If you start a game with the metal HUD turned on. look at the 7th line from the top, it starts with Rosetta. Iook if it says v2.0b1 or v1.1. lmk if you got it to work!

thats weird. so when you launch a game with metal HUD on it just says nothing next to Rosetta?

@relytistyler yep. What it did was installed the whisky wine and then moved on.

Im not sure about valorant. for online games it just depends on whatever anti cheat they use because some games will think you are cheating
