1:15 When the first iPhone came out, the iTunes Store icon had an arrow pointing down instead of a music note.
iirc, iTunes was only introduced in iOS 1.1, and by the time iOS 2 came out, it had the "beamed eighth notes" icon

I grew up with the 2013 icons, so it was so jarring when they all slowly updated 😭
I miss when the Game Center bubbles were all textured

1:08 I honestly didn’t know there was a difference between the 2013 and 2017+ photos icon until I watched this
The colors are slightly brighter and the ovals are a little larger, look how there is more white space in 2013
For me 2010 should have been a mix between 2010 & 2017, same 2017 design, but instead of colors, getting yellow as the sunflower
you’re missing the iOS 7 music icon and iOS 11 camera icon

iTunes Store in 2013 had a circle and inside of it was the musical note. In 2017 they changed the app icon and had only a star. Still i wish if it was the musical note. (Without the circle. that would be better.)
The 2013 Game Center icon is my favourite icon,it has lots of nostalgia and i like the shines on the bubbles,the new one just ruined it with it's simple design.

That 2013 app store icon is nostalgic for me. So is the Maps icon.
I guess I'll never understand why these videos are made the way they are. like, you compare icons that look almost the same (e.g. Mail), but then leave out icons with visible changes (e.g. Music icons from iOS 7 or 8, or TV icons from iOS 10 and 12)
Can you make such videos for Andriod, Mac OS and Windows icons?

a note: people say they miss the more skeuomorphic icon designs, but it is worth noting that many of the iOS icons' equivalents in macOS (from Big Sur onward, IIRC) have additional shading that bring back a little bit of skeuomorphism, if only a little. It's particularly noticeable with the macOS icons for Messages and FaceTime.
I wish iTunes Store and Apple Store (app) merged into a store app where you can buy physical Apple products and buy Music and Software
