My old neighbor was a Minneapolis police officer and somehow he was a baller… he had an old school porshe, remodeled 60s impala, few jet skis, a speed boat and a f150. My theory was he stole from people they would raid on. I’ve had friends get raided and essentially just take all their stuff and then leave them. Partially why Minneapolis police have been known to be very crooked (before George Floyd)

I was a police officer, then training officer, and then Sgt for 17 years in a top 5 most violent city. I ended up being medically retired for cptsd. I had the opportuinty to save a few lives including a couple of children. My life sucks sometimes now and I don't leave the house much. I would do it again in a heart beat. That's because depsite what you see in the media and maybe even what you've unfortunately experienced first hand yes there are some bad officers. Any job has bad apples. Most and I'm talking 98% of officers genuinely want to help people out. That's it. Not a power trip. Certainly not the money lol. I grew up getting my ass kicked by my aweful step mother and alcoholic father so I wanted to make a difference. Help some others out. Give some people some peace. People who shit all over cops more often than not don't have a concrete reason to feel that way. Despite what you see on tv. The media doesn't want to report the 100's of thousands of good encounters citizens have with their police department. That doesn't sell advertising minutes. They want corruption, and violence, and chaos. Period. I lived it for 17 years. I'm an expert. There are bad cops. Trust me the cititzens of the inner cities aren't just crying about nothing. Bad cops are pieces of crap who should be put in jail. For the other 98%. Say hi to a cop sometime. You might be surprised how just like you they are. Peace.

Very refreshing to hear the other side of the story especially when the media really does preach only division, fear, and horror… We definitely need more people like you. lol 98% in my city they literally had to suspend half of the police force because they were too dumb not to know better than to text each other the N word when talking about the citizens they are policing.
Some Cities don't have Police... Pittsburgh does not even have Police at Night.. The People can only Leave a Message at Night... Which is Insane....300k People and No Police at Night..
@@charliebrown4799I had to look it up! From an article online at local station wpxi (channel11) as of February 2024: In five years, the bureau has gone from more than a thousand officers to under 800. “Chief Scirotto is doing the best he can with what he has to work with but when what you have to work with is not enough, it’s going to catch up,” Coghill said. 11 Investigates has also learned that on several weekly overnight shifts, as few as 27 officers will cover the entire city. “When you have 90 separate neighborhoods, the geography of Pittsburgh makes it difficult to get from one part of the town to the other. Yes, that is very alarming,” Coghill said.
I left the career field because I saw the writing on the wall, which was pre-2020. It wasn't worth my mental health or the potential destruction of my reputation for doing my job. Most people are so far in that they can't back out and are just trying to survive until retirement. Also, leadership, for the most part, is atrocious in law enforcement, and they will throw you under the bus if it suits them.
I worked as a prison guard for Texas (retired a sergeant) and you learn a lot about criminals and many CO’s transition to becoming officers to help fight gangs and criminals
Even private security can change you permanently, and not in a good way. I couldn't recommend any field even adjacent to law enforcement, to a young person today. American society has lost even a facade of respect for law and order.
I live in a city of less than 14,000. Small police force ,but it's surprising to me the homes they live in. We have an chain of several lakes. Out of the 10 or so cops we have 4 of them live on the lake. Just got reference there's currently a vacant lot, in a really good location on the biggest lake, but still a vacant lot. It's for sale for $735,000 no house, not even a well and septic system, just 1/3 of an acre on the water. Maybe the small town banks extend the officers some amazing credit, but seems like it should be a bit out of the price range for a cop.
I'd have loved to have been an officer but I'm far to honest. I'm not having my partners back if he's doing shady stuff. I'm not lying for the department and taking part in the corruption. They'd take me out as soon as they could😂 Biggest gang in our town in the sheriff office.
That was definitely a case where the officers needed a mental health expert to be with them. Bad policing all around. What city do you live in where the average pay for an officer is 71 and hour?
@@Freshbudz1722 It's a tricky case and she was mentally unstable and suffered from prior mental disorders and dealing with officers. The shooting I don't believe was 100 percent justified and of course the MSM and the Muppets that follow those sources made it into a "Race" Issue.....like usual.

Yeah of course a few anecdotes from some officer and lines about how ohhh the brutal stuff they must see. Kinda like how 'most police are good, there's just few bad apples'. Cops in Houston and Atlanta are seeing '10x' as much bad stuff as the cops in Lake Jackson, TX or Newnan, GA. Idk why anyone would've EVER decided to become a cop. But I've always heard it's cuz they wanna 'serve and protect'. Or maybe they wanna 'defend the Constitution'😅
I have the upmost respect for all first responders. But there is no doubt that firefighters and paramedics see the most horrid shit everyday they work.
First person that I heard actually asked if it's okay to have Jamie pull something up.
Jamie pull some help 😂😂😂
