Izorline xxx is the best. I’ve fished it for 10 years. Absolutely love it. Super strong lasts well and casts good. I started fishing it in saltwater then starting using it in freshwater. It breaks so much higher than it’s rated. We tested it to break constantly at 31.5lbs for 20lb, 39.5 for 25lb, 48 for 30 and 64.5 for 40.
I just now got a rod that will handle the mid size baits like the s waver 168, hudd 68 special wdls, gantarel Jr. Etc and I'm so pumped to get have the right rod to throw them. Previously j used a frog rod but distance and control were issues. Next setup will be one for the big baits. Fishing highly pressured small bodies of water in OK and being one of the only guys who throws the big baits helps me daily. It's addicting!
Nick Cavazos I’m kind of in the same position. Throwing these bigger baits are addicting. I visited Florida for a week and caught a 8.53 pounder on the normal size ganteral! Been throwing even bigger baits and I live in WI
@@crazybassfisher yup, the only guys who know am actually throw the big baits are the tackle shops guys mainly. And they're old school and don't throw them....alot of guys still think baits over 6"+ Are to big but my first time throwing the s waver 168 I got a 3.5lber and the first throwing the hudd 68 a 2.5 lber had the bait folded in half choked.... can't wait to see what the cruising females think about them.....learned alot from you bro. Keep up the good work.
Man I hope the bite comes back soon, with all this new water! I don’t have much confidence in my glide baits, but I’ve been having a ton of fun throwing a magdraft and the keitech fat swings at the urban spots

Those are great baits but your selling yourself short without a decent wake, or Crankdown. I also understand that your in a different part of the country. I lost my custom Hinkle shad on 20 Big Game.
Nice vid as always, have you tried the 9 in weedless mc swimbaits? They're one of my favorite, I use them with 10/0 owner beast weighted hook, they do work.

gary m Damn dude! Sorry about the fish loss! Yeah those stock hooks are garbage and always need to be changed out. I always run Decoy Quad hooks on my baits and the size 1 quads fit perfectly on the 250!

Michael Hall Haha I was throwing 30lb in the very beginning but found I got more bites on the 20lb than I did on the 30 and the bait swims way better on the lighter line! Just scary to throw sometimes haha
@@crazybassfisher Yeah I hear you man I was just wondering because some reels can be 5:3:1 an pick up 24" per turn, which is about wat a normal 7 speed picks up on a low pro reel no?
@@crazybassfisher Because I fish my glide baits on a round reel it's 5:3:1 and picks up 2 feet of line per handle turn so even tho it's a slower gear ratio I can still pick up line quickly if that makes sense

Is it hard picking up the slack when throwing the 250 using the z2020 on a long cast ? I know it’s a 7.6:1 but the spools is so small.
Ironbound84 No, the faster gear ratio is what really matters. Those z2020’s are fast and work the glides very well.

Not a 100 percent sure on ipt on reels actually, always cared more about gear ratio than anything.
