This is why he got my vote and will have my eternal respect. I got the chance to meet him and candy at a library update I had worked on. They were both extremely kind and clearly shared a love of reading an teaching children literacy. I didn't witness it, but was told they both read to a groups of young children. This was while he was in office...no cameras were allowed near either of them or the children during.
both are very impressive, deeply caring and extraordinarily humble people.

The guy is a great surgeon. However he needs to stay out of politics. He's a joke when it comes to it and 9/10 I'll choose the other person over him everytime
This is the kind of inspiring movie based on fact that should be made more often. Instead of the monotonous diet of sex, violence, and escapism.
Problem is movies like this dont sell. I would also like to see more inspirational movies like this but money rules this world. The majority population are entertained by ignorance than anything else.

Yeah, but the twins he operated on went to meaningless lives. They had to be institutionalized. One is dead, the other in a vegetative state. If they lied about that, what else did they lie about in the movie?

Crazy that Ben Carson was viewed as a top-tier surgeon and a hero but as soon as he entered politics, all of a sudden half the country hated him because of the party he was associated with. Goes to show that if you're smart and successful in your industry, entering politics will ruin your personal image. No wonder all the smart people do not want to run for political positions.
I am thinking him being so smart, read so many books, became successful and I will support his political decisions
A neurosurgeon got put in charge of urban planning……
An individual can be remarkably talented/knowledgeable on certain topics and be oblivious about others. Just because he was a skilled neurosurgeon does not mean he has any idea how to be a political leader.
For example, as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development he was once asked a question about REO's and didn't know what they were. Or when he once said that the pyramids of Giza were created by Joseph to store grain.
I'd also argue that someone who has no political experience running for President of the United States at the age of 63 is going to have a tough time getting people to support them, but that clearly doesn't matter to a lot of people. You can also disagree with people's opinions/political beliefs and not vote for them without actively hating them.
Do some research. He's just an idiot with very slow and methodical hands. He's a proven liar, as most of this movie is a lie. People are so gullible.
Because he, like many rich people, go in to politics just for money and clout. Not for political motivation. Besides not all surgeons are equal. Many of the successful ones are successful through their connections
thats a true mother right there, never telling him that he is held back by society and always reinforcing that he can do anything as long as he studies and studies on it.
The biggest thanks goes to his mom, it’s portrayed so well in this movie how many things she put up with. Even after he threatened her on multiple occasions to end her life.
Im African whose never been to America, Dr Ben Carson is one of my heroes and role models in the field of science and medicine.
Grades aren’t always the best. Showing compassion for others actually does help along the way. I think Benny forgot about that the moment he became famous.

he had time, remember he was in elementary school when he was still dumb, he went to middle school and highschool he was already reading thousands of books by the time he got to college he kept reading.
if he had started in highschool is unlikely he would of made it where he is now, which is why you have to start kids on a career path early.
of course this is on the basis of avg because this guy was avg he was not a genius he just worked hard and study alot to get where he is.

It's fantastic that Ben Carson learned how to save lives as a neurosurgeon but his grasp of history and racial injustice is astoundingly ignorant, its as if he didn't bother with those subjects.

But Carson legit had me questioning his knowledge cause he act as if he wasn't aware of certain things in history. And it's not because he overcame it but simply because he is not seen as a "commoner" in America he has earn the respect of many top people and 9/10 they are white individuals and because of that he feels as those he is accepted it's just a case of trying to fit in.

this made me cry it made me belive that i can do it even i was a below average kid growing up till 5 grade but my mom took a leave from her job for a month and made me study day and night i got 92.7% i was so happy then lock down came my marks went down wery bady and in 8 grade i pushed my to workself harder and got 77.77% all on my own. Currently in highschool i am working my ass off and felt demotivated then i saw is vid i fell that i can do it and it my aim to becom a surgeon and a urologist specialist in Australia or my home country or Canada! this vid boosted my morall
