  • first time running the metal spur gear in the Granite and wanted to make sure that everything was good. Make sure you add an extra slipper pad to the spur gear or else it will hit the cover.

    Just put one in mine and didn’t notice the rubbing. I’ll have to go recheck now and order some more slipper pads. Thanks

      @Bashing Stiles I would double check it just to make sure when I had it standing up when assembling it i noticed it touching but since the driveshaft is spring loaded it’s going to put pressure on it. Plus I found that it’s the 4s set up and it needs the extra slipper pad because the steel gear is thinner. It also helps the spur gear ride in the middle of the pinion gear

    Is that the stock pinion ?,was all set to buy the gear and then seen someone talking about 26t...don't understand why you would change from 14t stock to 25t aftermarket...

      Yeah, I’m pretty sure that was the stock pinion. It definitely was not a big pinion because I wanted it to easily do wheelies but if you want to go fast, you need to have a bigger opinion.

    How are the diffs performing after this new steel spur?

    • @rcdaveshobbies
      @rcdaveshobbies  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Funcentric the diffs are holding up just fine I’ve never had any diff issues yet but do have spare ones lol because I’ve seen lots of people destroying them. The only thing I have gone through is spur gears that’s why I went to a metal one

    How many teeth on the metal gear? And what do you prefer?

    • @rcdaveshobbies
      @rcdaveshobbies  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @ICEBERG SLIMM Same as the stock plastic gear 57 teeth and I prefer the metal spur because it’s a lot more durable than the plastic one and I I haven’t had any problems with it yet
