she is so underrated because she doesn't show skin and is of arabic descent which I know may sound the usual racist overtones but in the clickish Hollywood or US breakthrough it may hold her recognition and talent back!
I think her decision to stay in university, Covid and the loss of her contact at Atlantic records just before the release of "Minefields" have played more of a factor. Also that she grew up in a small town in the middle of no where and didn't move to a major city (I love Winnipeg but it is small and somewhat isolated as far as cities go) matters. The record industry is about making money and I doubt they care about much else.
