A lot of the landscapes are real. They used some areas of Iceland I believe. It's been many years since I saw some of the behind-the-scenes but I think it was Iceland.
not to mention the complete incapacity of all human technology to build, repair or recycle itself. like going on a 1000 year rally drive with no spares.
Genius using the outer faring of the afterburners as a landing foot…matter of fact, the look of the engine itself! 😮 Kinda liked the VTOL ship in the first Total Recall movie landing on Mars but this landing takes the cake!
I doubt it this ship runs on nuclear fusion and we haven't been able to hold a nuclear fusiom reaction for even 10 seconds yet so this is very far future another thing is Idk how this ship creates artificial gravity but we have a while b4 we can harness gravity I sometimes like to think of this as a prophecy to elon musk's starship
@@ayinfrazier3682 No country would pay for something like this, even in the movies the money comes from companies for their own interests, in reality would be the same, not for alien knowledge but for resources, so if someone will make these kind of spaceships it will be between so many companies with a common interest, resources and money.
@@OvejaSuicida Governments most certainly would pay for something like this if it would give them an interest. I mean we did go to the moon, so there was that.

@@machdude3366 it’s a prequel … so ya it’s going to be similar lol. The cgi was mind blowing for the time, and storytelling I thought was great for leading up to the next movie which would be the “sequel” ‘Alien’

Its not nonsense, whoever thinks its nonsense are just too dumb to understand the logic behind why the scenes are written that way ... sometimes the critics are dumber than the creator, like how an amateur can never fully appreciate or understand Einstein's theories ...
The scottish accents kinda ruins it to be harsh. Please talk proper english in sci fi action movies. Michael Fassbender is german, but he talks Oxford English. What do you think ? Should dialects of English be allowed in sci fi movies?
Incredibly well done. You could swear it's real! Everything is created to the smallest detail. Shadow, dust, light, everything!

That's a beautiful ship.
Nice display of the four 2x FTL Nuclear Fission ion plasma engines. Impossible to build with current tech fyi

Colors on the mountain and the ship landing just completely blow out
Fantastic ship design and i love the set interiors
They're already here 😢
Beautiful scene from a beautiful film.
Rewelacyjne dwie sceny- lądowanie Prometeusza a potem start - kiedy Prometeusz staje się niszczycielskim pociskiem...
Prometheus looks a lot like the Nostromo from Alien 1979
They've been here since thec1960s
Any theories about the engineering? Propulsion and propellant?
Could a spaceship like this be made today?

Anything can be done today, it just requires tons and tons of money and a planet to land lol
