If you can take a bit of criticism: I was a bit disappointed that you just read through all the skills, including damage numbers. I was looking forward to your personal view on each class with gameplay video going along. If I want to read the skills I can do exactly that: read them in-game.

Thanks for the feedback but I’ve found that the majority of gamers don’t care for my take and don’t read skills and these videos they end up enjoying the most :)

any class: all but the ice one (it's alright but the others are great to fuckawesome)
      in general good potential synergies
electrode dusk mage: lots of piercing projectiles means tons of shock balls
electrode sharpshooter: same as dusk mage
bloodletter dusk mage: lots of piercing projectiles can mean lots of explosions and the blood seekers skill works good for a caster
bloodletter railmaster: has a good bleed skill already and health regen is awesome
bloodletter sharpshooter: same: bleed chance is alright but having a bleed skill that can hit several foes is usually better
destroyer forged: the character with the largest amount of burn stuff with the burn relic
destroyer (everyone) probably the strongest damage skill relic and has evasion as a bonus - better for close range characters though
bane sharpshooter: poison + pet relic with the heaviest pet class
bane railmaster: train is a decent pet setup as well
bane forged: has a good poison skill with a legendarium even
railmaster: has an interesting idea for a train pet that has 3 cars with different effects as well as more melee range sort of 'railroad track layer' motif with good debuffs to foes
forged: sorta melee and ranged hybrid that has to manage heat with some skills gaining heat and some dumping heat: has a good buff and debuff AOE skill and has a few 'channeling' skills (can also get an upgrade that makes his brawl skills potentially heal and has a bit more natural healing than other classes seemingly)
sharpshooter: mix between a sort of usual gun\bow user ish skill setup as well as a 'summoner' ish tree that has various beings to summon who can give temporary boosts to your shots (shots work on 'ammo' which is kinda like a stamina thing - there's also a powerful skill called 'reload' that mostly trivializes this)
dusk mage: balance between a bit more single target less mp light skills that charge mp regen effects and dark skills that are more projectiles\aoe ish and charge extra damage: utilizing both for best results: there's even skills that boost\are boosted by harmonic form (where you get the mp regen and extra damage)
all 4 relics can work decently with all four classes - it's mostly dependent on what build you're going for
bane: doesn't have innate status so need poison on hit weapons or poison skills
works best with forged (poison skill augmented by a legendarium)
or sharpshooter (tons of pet skills already + the summon plauge rat ish skill can add poison to her shooting skills)
or railmaster (the train stuff counts as pets too so 'has pet skills' as a tree as well)
dusk mage has the least pet or poison access (she's got one skill) but she's got tons of projectiles so a weapon with 'poison on hit' works good for this (and being a bit more fragile could use pets from the relic)
bloodletter: like most relics works best with characters with a lot of rapidfire hits or skills with the effect (bleed) and is more of a melee focused one -
railmaster usually fails in the rapidfire sort of hits but he has a great bleed skill in the pick skill and is more of a melee unit so the relic skills will usually be more in range
forged is also melee and is a bit more rapid fire hitting so it works great with it as well
sharpshooter: again lots of hits to a crowd with bleed chance = good times: sharpshooter is also less tanky to a degree so the additional health gains could be useful
mage: same as sharpshooter to a degree and even moreso given it's not got a bunch of pet or defensive skills like the other 3 classes
electrode: again fantastic more 'rapidfire' skill (and like bane doesn't have a 'this procs shock' passive innately - you'll need inflicts shock on weapons or using relic skills) - also has a good boost to basic weapon damage (but for a skill that needs a mace) - also has large attack and cast speed bonuses to some skills
dusk mage i'm gonna list first for this since she doesn't do potentially as well with others - having lots of projectiles that can potentially pierce foes she can get a lot of longer range hits in for an entire crowd to be generating those shock bolts - she can do VERY well with this and it's not slightly awkward because she's not a melee ranged character like blooddrinker and destroyer's skills sort of want you to be
sharpshooter: same deal - more of a longer range character and with piercing skills that can hit an entire crowd getting tons of hits with a single skill use that's lots of chances to proc shock bolts
railmaster: normally not as good with this sort of thing but has shock augment for the base train gun (and spike drive's kinda limited but hits a nice wide area
forged: still not bad as he's got a few rapidfire moves really but aside for the cyclone skill (or shotgun or fraking strike) not quite as wide range - but still decent enough to have a shock forged build
destroyer: fantastic potential damage and gives evasion as a bonus: again a more melee range relic
forged: since quite a few skills are about managing heat surely the burn focused relic's probably best with him (and since forged already has tons of damage reduction evasion's really good to have)
railmaster: melee range ish and has a few fire skills as well (mortar or flamethrower car and lantern flash)
sharpshooter: potentially pretty good given she'd have powerful ranged and melee skills - the two buff skills are more close ranged offensive things but still good
mage: again lots of piercing projectiles with these kinds of things is awesome
if you're wanting something more specific here
      th-cam.com/play/PL5ZFrxriXS2FsN15L4_pXi5hgKKq9PBEE.html

When i see the Forged, all i can think of is the Protoss Dragoon/Immortal/Stalker.
I'm going to wait until i see and endgame Forged before i make up my mind to buy or not.
The Rail and sharpshooter looks utterly BOOORING.

    • @leeman27534
      @leeman27534 4 ปีที่แล้ว

i suppose it depends how you view them
i mean railmaster has some variety of different attacks - the train could be give or take but personally i kinda like the idea - it's like a semi permanent ally that you can customize via skills - interesting enough to me anyway
as for sharpshooter has very decent arrow skills and LOTS of pet ally skills in the other tree (that synergizes really well with the bane relic - also each of these pet skills can modify the arrow skills like the plague rat giving the next 3 shots poison DOT)
it's also not just the characters but the relics - a destroyer forged is gonna work differently and want different skills than a bane or a bloodletter

Railmaster's ''Clockwork'' train is so fun. How could a train that takes no damage and gives you buffs and lots of damage be broken? LOL, I literally just park my train in the middle of the screen on boss fights and the boss is forever getting shot at by the train, drop that mortar like its hawt! Chu Chu...
I am missing the Berserker though, Forged is a'ight but the savagery of the Berserker, Dayumm:P

Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I would like to suggest not reading everything to someone. Whether it is college, or a business presentation, reading to people makes them feel as if they are in kindergarden. I would suggest adding to the content they can read themselves. You lost me around the time you began reading.

Is there a way to heal without pots? Or have u to play blood with all classes for hardcore?

    • @leeman27534
      @leeman27534 4 ปีที่แล้ว

i mean there's healing potions as well as various ways a character might heal (forged's spin to win skill tier 2 gives all brawl skills a chance to heal)
but yeah presumably if you're playing hardcore the one focused on healing hp would be best (if you want it to have the best survival anyway)

I wish torchlight had cooler classes. The only one that looks ok is duskmage. I get that theyre probably trying to have classes that look and feel different but i dislike when they do away with classes that would be easy to get into. I know person with sword or assassin is done to death but if they'd spin it with that torchlight charm like mage being a dusk nage, id love it so much more. Heres to dusk mage. Thats the only class that caught my attention.
