I’m going to buy an iPad for use with my Janome S9. What model iPad will accomplish this task? I’m looking at a 2021 Apple 10.2” iPad wiFi 64gb 9th generation from Walmart. Will that work with this application? Thanks!

Jennifer, thank you for this informative video demonstration of Accusketch on the Janome S9 Indigo. I have the original S9 and I have yet to try the embroidery features of the machine. What are the differences between the original S9 and the S9 Indigo, if any, other than the Indigo color?

HI Candace - Have you found the answer yet? I am wondering the same. The salesperson at the sewing shop really wants me to get the S9 he has in stock but. I would like to get the newer version especially if there are many differences. I did find on the website that the HP2 foot only works on the Indigo version of the S9. www.janome.com/accessories/sewing-machine-feet/acufeed-hp2-foot/. It states; (*Note: This foot ALSO works on the Janome Skyline S9-Indigo version. This machine has a darker indigo blue accent color than version 1 which had light blue accents.*). I would like to know if there are any other differences.

Thanks for the video. I have a Janome Horizon MC12000. As my machine doesn’t have wifi can I still use this App and transfer the designs with a USB stick? Plus, I don’t have a pencil for my iPad.

Yes, you can save the design and use it on your 12000. After you have designed your design, instead of sending to the machine use the upward arrow and you can email it to yourself. You don't need the Apple Pencil for the IPad, use a stylus to help keep the lines clean. Janome sells a stylus but any will do, as long as it has a nice point.

      Yes you can use USB!
You can use your finger in the app, or a stylus, but might consider an Apple Pencil if you really get going, it’s much easier.

How did you do the red heart applique onto your beautiful quilt? Did you use this sewing machine. Leaning towards getting one.

Do you have to use an iPad, or can it be an android?
