I didn’t know you guys got married in the US! Do you have a video about how you guys met?

Wait...you got a 3 year visa your first spousal visa? 🤔. I wonder if it’s because you waited to change? Everyone else I knew who changed got 1 year for the first visa.
Great info in this video! I didn’t do so much the info thing in my visa videos lol 😆 there’s an excel version of the forms? When I go for the permanent resident visa that might be the way to go! 😁
I couldn’t believe how busy mine was. It’s the time of year for sure! There was some company rep that was dealing with about...8 or so people applying for visas.
You’re Hanami looked great! Not a lot of people but lots of Sakura! How it should be.

Yeah. I think since I waited 3 years before changing my visa, they didn’t have a problem giving me a 3 year visa to start. I wasn’t in a rush especially since I was on a 5 year instructor visa. Why change something good? Lol.

Which immigration do you go to? I usually go to the Shin-Yurigaoka one and it's never too crowded.

I think because any form of ID here needs a picture (same as the USA), but the person is required to provide the picture themselves rather than having it taken for them in most services on location. Like at the DMV, they take your photo for you in the US (although recently, Japan has been updating their systems on this and have started taking photos for people at the DMV, but wasn’t the case when I first move here). But we also still have the type of going into a store for the ID photos too, but it’s not as common now because of these more convenient machines (and the price is about the same). I honestly don’t know know why the USA hasn’t adapted this. It’s so useful for both parties.

Wowww what’s the reason one could be stopped in Tokyo?

Being a foreigner. Doesn’t matter what you are doing. They have the right to stop you and check your visa.
