    This reminds me of my "Knight Rider experience"
    Back that time, in Italy the tour cars were already very rare, we had one, maybe two tour cars in all Italy, and when i was a child the tour cars were no longer around. However, it was the beginning of the "replica eras", so the firsts replicas started to pop out. I was something like 5 or 6 years old, and there was this big annual Cars exibition in Turin, that they do still today but in another city, It's called "Automotoretrò".
    I was already an huge fan of Knight Rider, so i brought with me wood toy made by my dad resembling kitt's steering wheel (that i still have today).
    I already knew that there was this guy having a replica, because this guy had a website and he announced his presence at this event. I kept my "scanners peeled" for a very long time, before finding kitt right behind me along side with the General Lee, Herbie, the DeLorean and the Striped Tomato. I couldn't breathe for the emotion. The owner of kitt usually didn't let anyone to get inside kitt, however with me decided to breake this "rule" and he let me go inside kitt for taking some pictures with him. F.L.A.G. loved me so much that later that day decided to send me another kitt replica that i had no idea was there, so It was a very pleasent surprise. So i consider myself very lucky to had a "Knight Rider experience" Just like the guys on this video, even though in the wrong country and with a delay of 10-15 years lol.(I hope i didn't do too much mistakes, in that case Sorry)

    Somewhere in my parent's attic is a polaroid of me sitting in one of these as a kid. There is a similar one of me in the General Lee. I used to love the "Autorama".

    I remember "The World of Wheels" car show back in the day. Sat in one of these tour cars. (Or I think it was one of em at the time.) It had somebody off to the side being KITT and could talk to "him" My best friend busted my chops for months after that.... lol

    • @TwistedSMF
      @TwistedSMF ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was sitting here. Trying to remmember what I said to him. I don't remember the exact question? But it was something like "You getting tired of all these people sitting in here" and the guy being funny as KITT said "Yeah, I think I am starting to smell. Does it smell in here?" lol

      World of Wheels is where and when I met KITT as well. It was 1985. Both KITT and the General were together. I know that Joe and AJ have the two cars that were screen-used during the show. Joe's been working his tail lights off trying to restore the semi from the show.

    It's awesome these guys got to recreate a childhood memory nearly 40 years later. Im starting on my KITT replica this year and hopefully I can drive KITT around before I'm 50. I was only 4 when Knight Rider began but it is one of my first memories. I swore one day I would have that beautiful black car.

    I'd bet this is the exact same promo car I saw at the Philadelphia Auto Show in 1986 when I was a kid. That car back then was the only K.I.T.T. replica I've ever seen with those plastic fake grill inserts. This one HAS to be that car.

    The enduring legacy of knightrider for a lot of men, is the statement that, “one man can make a difference”. That really resonates with men,
    And boys. Its a kind of purpose or sense of self determination that inspires men. Its very powerful what that car represents as a symbol of goodness, righteosness and justice. Good men are made from these kinds of symbols. Boys only need a guide to show them the right way to be, to believe and to preserve life.

I remember when "K.I.T.T" came to Bishopdale Mall in the 80s and me being so young wondering A where was Michael and B why the public could just sit in this crime fighting machine. When it came my turn to sit in the car I refused and got a photo of the empty interior which is now lost to time haha. Thanks KRH much love.
