As a young lad, in Labrador,
in the late sixties, Dad had a green Bombardier like that one, but about twenty years older.
It didn’t have all those windows in the back, just a couple of round ones.
I have no idea, whatever happened to it.
    It always worked well.
Dad had a friend that knew more about the mechanics of it, than he did!
It was used Summer, & Winter.

They are still out there either still working, fully restored or sitting idle in the bush somewhere. Welcome to the channel!

Lots come up for sale. Some cheap and need work, some turn the key and go that are fully restored. Don't give up the dream!

That is a really nice machine ,someone will snatch it up fast. I'm curious, how many Bombardiers have you guy totally rebuilt ? If you don't mind me asking. 😊

@@stevemccoy8138 he built winter road in Northern Manitoba for 50 years. He always owned one and had to know how to repair and take it apart. Before he retired and when he was still building winter road, he would strip down his own machine all the way and rebuild and replace parts as needed. Couldn't call a tow truck where he was, since he was literally the guy building the road.

that would make a nice school bus for snow days.............lol.........what engines and transmissions did those things come with when they were new?

they actually were used as a school bus all over the north. There are a lot of people who have mentioned that is how they got to school back in the day. They really old Bombardiers with manual transmissions had three type until they went to various automatic transmissions. Dad typically tries to install 318 Chrystler Industrial engines with a 727 transmission. Other people have other engines and swear by what they have. Dad really tries to avoid engine and transmission work unless he is installing new and he always runs compression tests. Some of the machines we have seen roll into the shop, you'd swear it is never seen maintenance for 50 plus years. The one featured in this video was completely rebuilt from ground up with nothing but the best. It is one of Dad's masterpieces.
