That's me at 2 minutes on the green grom. :) Always great to see new people come out! My wife records every sprint race I'm in and I post them up so you may see yourself over there.

That's awesome! You were MOVING! You and the guy on the purple grom were on another level compared to the trio behind you.
Gotta do some brake work and get some stick tires. Stock brakes and tires that are pushing 4 years old aren't the best for keeping up!
Thanks for taking the time to comment!!

That was in ok crowd for the last race of the year at Denton (and the ONLY race there this year). From all the people getting bikes and talking about the series I think 2021 is gonna be pretty exciting. I think we'll see more faster Groms too as it'll officially be formula rules for "Formula Grom" for any Grom/Z125/clone allowing any modification as long as it starts out as a 125. They'll finally be competitive with the rest of the F6 class. BTW, you can hit me up on FB about PMT tires. I get them for a lot of the racers down here.

Many years ago I raced a 12 hour TMGP endurance race there on an XR100, in the rain. Truly memorable.

12 hour!! In the rain!!! That's insane! We had a 4hr in the rain this season at Denton. It too was wildly memorable. It was such a blast.

It's so much fun!!! It's not the best all around TMGP bike cause it gets its butt kicked in all classes except the dedicated Grom race, but it is SOOO Fun!
Certainly hope to see you out there too!
Thanks for taking the time to comment 😀

During the tech/safety inspection do they check for big bore kits installed? Or does it matter?

    • @TonyGenerali

It does matter to a degree. If it’s a big bore it can’t run in the Grom class. You’d have to run up a class to F6.
It’s not something that’s checked at tech, because there’s no issue with the big bore. It’s just not something that can be run in the “stock” Grom class. And if you’re pulling people a ton on a straight, it’d be clear something is done to the bike outside of the rules. So if someone checked you’d either be disqualified or protested. But that’s just for the grom class… outside of that it’s fine.
