There were funerals for Steven and Fallon. Both returned with new faces within a year of their funerals. Adam was kidnapped as a baby, only to return and put the moves on his sister three decades later. Oh, and he also got a new face in the Reunion movie. That leaves Amanda - the "secret" Carrington child who popped up after Fallon's "death" in 1984. Two years later, she too got a new face, lost her English accent and then disappeared for good soon after.
I come from an aristocrats family and you have no idea how many bastards children pop out of nowhere every year with a DNA test claiming that long gone great great grandma had an affair with some prince or duke or count affiliated to us and that they deserve to live in the castle. Trust me this happens all the time. As for new faces, since beauty has become manufactured we all get a new one ! My grandmother has been celebrating her 55th birthday for 20 years and she still fools some people.
The only reason Amanda got a new face was bc the show runners wouldn’t give Catherine Oxenberg a very small little raise, so she left and they hired a re-cast that was AAAWFUUUUL. They obviously had plans for Amanda with the rehiring of Wayne Northrop, to come back, and cause more stress for Amanda. I swear the show was so good at creating characters, among other things, but then just destroyed the show with things like that. Catherine only asked for a mere $2500 an episode,,,,,pocket change for them. They wouldn’t have ruined the Amanda character if they had at least worked with her, rather that just an outright NO......
