- The aerial choreographer, Paul Rubin, creates flying sequences for the stage from start to finish. During a rehearsal of an original production titled Joseph, Rubin shows the equipment used. He also talks about his background as a magician/illusionist, and the highlights of his experience working on "Peter Pan" with Cathy Rigby, "Wicked", and "Curtains" with David Hyde Pierce.

Amazing congratulations, how do you achieve the full range of flying even over the audience though?

Paul, did you work for ZFX in the late 1990s? Cathy Rigby tested a new harness before going to Broadway at a high school in Huntington Beach, California because ZFX was flying a production of Peter Pan and it was close to Cathy and the then owner of ZFX. I ask because you look like the guy who was there for the test.
how do you get the harness
Actress Scarlett Strallen, who played Mary Poppins in both New York and London, mentioned that in one production, a crew member helped her put her harness on while in the other production, she had to put the harness on herself.
