@White Pelt Cat that's kinda rude I mean casts are different and is it fair to judge the cast entirely because " iT iSnT lIkE hAmILt0n " I mean maybe they are goofy we haven't seen it
This is one of the best "Behind the Scenes" videos around. Terrific job of explaining some of the many aspects that go into delivering 8 shows a week on Broadway.
This helps people realise just how much work and how many people are involved in bringing a show to life.. A night at the theatre is a very expensive night out ...you go online ..choose your seats and pay for your tickets.... This short video made me feel that the money is more than worth it .......👏👏
I saw Aladdin live, and it was one of the most spectacular things ever! It wasn’t on broadway, but it was so so so so amazing! For those of whom haven’t seen it, it’s truly amazing
I got that during my senior show of anything goes. I even did a bit of a pre show workout like Adam did here. On the show's opening night, I hit the gym beforehand
I saw the show when my high school band took our trip to New York. It was amazing, I loved every second. It was so magical and you could tell how much the actors and actresses loved doing it.
thewinterizzy ayyyy I’ve lived in Seattle my whole life and I’ve never gone up the space needle also I recommend you go see Kinky Boots because I saw it and it was AMAZING
I saw Aladdin @ Broadway in New York. It is amazing. Love the cast, costumers, music, acting etc. Just simply great and you can tell that they put in a lot of effort.
I saw Aladdin on Broadway in Chicago and it was so magical! I loved watching this and seeing all the effort that it takes to deliver a great show. Thank you for showing us this! It's so inspiring!
I saw Aladdin in San Francisco today and it totally exceeded my expectations! It was amazing, the costumes, lights, special effects, the songs, everything! It was amazing, i recommend seeing it if you get the chance! You won’t be disappointed!
I did Aladdin Jr in 2020 before Covid. Probably on of the best shows I've done. I was Isir and I was only 8. I made alot of memories with my friend and I'm so happy I did Aladdin. My show now is frozen Jr. And I'm Anna! I'm so excited for November!
I saw this when it first came out in 2014. I was in the USA and the one show I desperately wanted to see was Aladdin. It was amazing and I took my dad to see it who just so happened to be in NY when I was there. Now I am back home in Aus and cannot wait for the show in September. I will see the Australian production almost exactly two years after I saw this one and let me just say they have a hart act to follow! Steve at the stage door on broadway was awesome such a lovely guy xD
I saw Aladdin in Chicago a few days ago and Jacob Dickey was playing Aladdin instead of Adam Jacobs because he is on medical leave and it was absolutely the best show that I have ever seen!!! The whole cast did an amazing job with the production and making the animated movie come to life! I totally recommend seeing it if you can... you will not be disappointed!!!
i just saw aladdin on broadway a few days ago, it was my first musical ever and i absolutely loved it! i was sitting in a way where i could see the stage perfectly fine and was incredibly close to everyone on stage, but i also really loved to be able to see the crew so hard at work just behind / next to the stage. a wonderful experience! aladdin is played by a different person now and he did amazingly!
And of course, no interview and barely a look in the pit for the musicians who really deliver half the show. Sad to see the direction MT is going no appreciation for the fantastic job musicians do every night. Cutting pit sizes to save a quick buck is ruining shows.
It’s so sad, I was talking to my violin teacher who toured with Phantom of the Opera for 8 years and he said that over time, many of his friends got replaced by a synthesizer. As a put musician myself it can be so frustrating and a little sad to get zero recognition. However I still love being in the shows of course.
Nowadays music for these kind of shows come from the box rather than real musicians. And yes, they mentioned the band. Probably because the band is the only few instruments which still play live.
I saw it when I went to new york and it was AMAZING, I'd love to see it again, but it is expensive and I live on the other side of the country, keep up the wonderful work
I watched this, this year and it was amazing the fact I was in the front row I couldn’t stop smiling through the whole thing. Best experience ever (watched in Londen)
Thank you for at least showing a shot of the pit orchestra. Even if it was just a split moment, I feel the musician never get the credit they deserve in musical theater. Seeing Phantom of the Opera in 8th grade a gazillion years ago, we sat nose bleeds balcony but you could see the pit orchestra perfectly. I had no idea the music was live and there were musicians performing below stage and it made me want to do that. I have the pit orchestra to thank for my immense love and interest in music theater and still perform shows around Los Angeles to this day. I love everything going on stage as well, and extremely impressed with back stage, tech team and house operations….but the pit orchestra to me was the main draw.
This show really exceeded all my expectations. I thought it would be a just ok show but I had a wonderful time. Got my Playbill signed by the cast and even had a small talk with Adam on stage door, really nice guy.
I’ve seen this musical before with the exact cast-most amazing production I’ve ever seen! I am a student looking into going to a musical arts school and my dream roll has always been Genie! When I heard my old school was doing the Jr musical I volunteered for makeup and the tech that goes into this!
Maura_The_Rose Almost every time I go to a show, my hands get sweaty before the lights go down. Then when the curtain rises, my nervousness goes away for a while. You must be brave and proud to go through that
Every part of me wishes I could have gone when the show first hit the stage. I was in actually in New York with my family at the time but we didn't even learn of the show until just over 24 hours before we had to go home. I will always have the soundtrack and the little bits and pieces they have off of TH-cam but its just not the same as actually experiencing it.
nightOWL I’m sorry but he isn’t going to be in the live-action Aladdin movie, the actor that’s going to be Aladdin in the live-action remake is Mena Massoud
Aladdin was my first Broadway show and I was genie and I had to start the show 3 times in 4th grade, I was sooo nervous all the people backstage kept reassuring me that I’ll do great, it really was scary, but it started the love for theatre I have now which I am most thankful for
loved this broadway show, first one i saw, Major attaway and Telly Leung replacing the genie/aladdin worried me but seriously major attaway and telly do just as good, if not better, such a good show to see
When someone says its too expensive to watch broadway, show them this video.
The amount of people and effort put in to it is amazing
Aladdin crew and cast: serious, chill, professional.
Hamilton cast and crew:" WHERE IN THE PLAY, AND GROFFSAUACE IS HERE!"
RK900 Conan honestly, yes
White Pelt Cat yes yes so true
@White Pelt Cat that's kinda rude I mean casts are different and is it fair to judge the cast entirely because " iT iSnT lIkE hAmILt0n " I mean maybe they are goofy we haven't seen it
Aladdin crew : *fist bump* good luck
Hamilton crew : GOOD LUCK WITH THE LOTTO
Lool

I'm so happy that Adam, Courtney and James extended their contracts for another year because I still want to see the show.

Ahh men :/ i'm going to find a way to see it!
HALLELUJAH
Ahhh no wonder they're still here! I'm so happy for them but ahhhh I'll never get to see the show 😭
This helps people realise just how much work and how many people are involved in bringing a show to life..

I got pre-show butterflies and I’m not even in it😂
same lmfao
a.j petersen same here!
I got that during my senior show of anything goes. I even did a bit of a pre show workout like Adam did here. On the show's opening night, I hit the gym beforehand
My heart started beating so fast when the Overture started playing
I know it’s horrible I actually dance with some amazing people for dances like The Nutcracker. But the pre show butterflies always get me.
I saw the show when my high school band took our trip to New York. It was amazing, I loved every second. It was so magical and you could tell how much the actors and actresses loved doing it.
I saw this in Seattle this week and it was SO GOOD. One of the best musicals I’ve ever seen.
thewinterizzy ayyyy I’ve lived in Seattle my whole life and I’ve never gone up the space needle also I recommend you go see Kinky Boots because I saw it and it was AMAZING
We did an interview with Jonathan Weir who plays Jafar! He was so awesome and a talented actor!
I saw it in Seattle too, and was lucky enough to see James Monroe Iglehart as the Genie. One of the best musicals I've ever seen live.
ME TOO I JUST SAW IT 2 hours ago
who's excited for the live action version?
I saw Aladdin @ Broadway in New York. It is amazing. Love the cast, costumers, music, acting etc. Just simply great and you can tell that they put in a lot of effort.

I could watch literally any Behind the Scenes video and be fascinated. I think I missed my calling.
As a lifelong theater geek, this warms my soul.

I want to ride that Aladdin...no, I mean the carpet, the magic carpet.
I’m my Aladdin musical I was the carpet (I ATE UP THE AUDITION THOUGH)
I saw Aladdin in Chicago a few days ago and Jacob Dickey was playing Aladdin instead of Adam Jacobs because he is on medical leave and it was absolutely the best show that I have ever seen!!! James Monroe Iglehart is GOALS!
Michael Anthony Butler Been a fan of him since Memphis
I want to ride Aladdins magic carpet omg 😍
I just want a cape like the one genie wears in Arabian Nights
I went to see this show and it is amazing. The sets are stunning as well as the costumes. The actors are incredible. Best show I’ve ever seen.
Same here. It's my favorite musical of all time
I am not a big Disney fan myself, but man this was the best live show I have ever attended!
Gee I’m not a big fan of Disney either. But I do whatever they put out my heart desires
I can’t believe it’s been a year now since I saw the show on tour. Major Attaway was the Genie when I went!
And of course, no interview and barely a look in the pit for the musicians who really deliver half the show. Sad to see the direction MT is going no appreciation for the fantastic job musicians do every night. Cutting pit sizes to save a quick buck is ruining shows.

Thank you
It’s great to see the way Come From Away treats their musicians
Hamilton made a video shows one of the musicians. The drummer!
Took my son in August. It was wonderful! Actors, costumes and set was amazing! (always love the music too!) thank you for a great show!

I watched this, this year and it was amazing the fact I was in the front row I couldn’t stop smiling through the whole thing.
Best experience ever (watched in Londen)

To be fair, it's kinda hard not to be your favourite musical if it's the only one you have ever seen.
Died 93 right...
Even on Broadway, the Disney Point still comes to life. Oh, how I miss working for Disney.
I’ve seen this musical before with the exact cast-most amazing production I’ve ever seen! I am a student looking into going to a musical arts school and my dream roll has always been Genie! When I heard my old school was doing the Jr musical I volunteered for makeup and the tech that goes into this!
izzy DiAngelo That’s cool
cant waait to see the show in 2 weeks so excited
how was it?
its was awsome
My favorite part about a show is when the overture starts you get butterflies when you hear the audience clap from the other side of the curtain!
Maura_The_Rose Almost every time I go to a show, my hands get sweaty before the lights go down. Then when the curtain rises, my nervousness goes away for a while. You must be brave and proud to go through that
I saw this today and it was amazing

Behind the Scenes
I did Aladdin a few years ago,This gave me so many nerves and flash backs to freaking out before being on stage.
Aladdin was my first Broadway show and I was genie and I had to start the show 3 times in 4th grade, I was sooo nervous all the people backstage kept reassuring me that I’ll do great, it really was scary, but it started the love for theatre I have now which I am most thankful for
That moment when your scoping out the video trying to find you in the crowd
Me XD
