Hei! Great tutorial! But, I have a question! I have a image but it’s not perfect? I can resterize for more rezolution?

Hi! I have not been able to improve images that way. If I have an image that is a bit too blurry/low quality, I usually try to make it a smaller part of the design or find an alternative. If your client really wants a specific picture, you can show them how it will look and explain why a sharper image would be a better idea :)

HI whats better Indesign to AI for banners, vinyl designs for say a boat. Also what the major differences, issues and limitations between the 2.

Great question! InDesign is created specifically for print. A lot of magazines and books are created in InDesign. Because of this, it has some more options for export specifically for print. Adobe Illustrator has more tools for designing graphics, like the pen and pencil tool and I personally find it easier when it comes to colour swatches. I think it is often down to preference, but I generally use AI if there are a lot of custom graphics like illustrations, and InDesign if it is mostly about layout. I hope that helps!

Mam, what will the minimum image size or resolution for the same 80 x 200 Roll-up banner?

    • @Kayla-app

Great question. We always export at 300dpi (or ppi) for the resolution. In terms of size, we set up the artboard to be the same size as the final design, in this case - 80 x 200. I hope that makes sense! :)

wich app did u use/ and can i use procreat or canva or pic art ? thank you

Great question! I use Adobe Illustrator or Adobe InDesign for print. You can absolutely use other tools but it can be a little bit harder. Printers usually want bleed for the document and embedded fonts and images. When you use tools like Canva and Procreate, they don't come with as many options so check with your printer to make sure the format you provide is ok for them. Regardless of program, use CMYK for your colour settings, use the actual size of the final artwork, export as a PDF and use 300dpi for the resolution. That way you don't get a blurry end result. I hope that helps!

Hi! Are you thinking of the program I am designing in? In that case it is Adobe Illustrator :)
