    Great to see “more mature gents” out riding. The biggest barrier to rough/technical terrain riding is being stuck to the saddle. I get standing is hard work, I’m almost 50 with dodgy ankles, knees, back and shoulders But the only way to develop those joints, muscles and the techniques for out of saddle riding is to do it. Most ADV (vs MX) “off”road” riding can be done seated however cornering on certain surfaces, inclines/declines and rocky/water crossings will always be better and more safely accomplished with correct standing on the pegs technique.
    If you guys aren’t sure on how to develop that then I’d suggest seeking out a basic ADV riding course as it will be money well spent and save repairs, both mechanical and medical down the track. Enjoy being out there away from the rat race!

    Momentum & standing up on the pegs, don't stop n look at the hill just take it on.

      Yep, I hesitated and then it was a struggle from there. Lots of other contributing factors like tyre pressure, luggage etc but dropping momentum is probably the big learning for me on that one.

    Hi, awesome ride boys,
    Just a question on what gps apps are you running for your navigation?
    Thanks in advance…

      Thanks mate. I'm going to do a video on this soon but I use HEMA and Gaiamaps to build the plan and then OSMAnd for on the ride, and sometimes GPS Tracks.

      @@MotoRidesAustralia why build the route in Gaia and then use Osmand for the ride? I'm trying to decide on which one to use

    • @MotoRidesAustralia
      @MotoRidesAustralia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I much prefer the functionality of OSMAnd, particularly giving an ETA following a track. I'm doing a video shortly on all the apps I use.

    For that riding, light bikes 18 or 20psi front and rear, heavier bikes 25 psi.

      The next day I dropped to mid 20’s and it made a huge difference. It was one of those thing in hindsight, I don’t know why I didn’t do it earlier.

    The way you pronounced yetholme made me wince, but I guess you said it like you saw it, it's actually pronounced Yet-home
