I recently gave first aid to someone that broke an ankle. We had hiked back to a remote waterfall in the Smokey Mtns. Natl. Park. I am a Dental Hygienist but have extensive first responder training. Busted out my first aid kit that I fluffed up after watching you- felt that I should bring it on that particular day. Was able to stabilize the patient and control pain until search and rescue arrived . I made an extra ice pack out of clean doggie poo bags I had in there and water bottle ice! Had electrolyte drink- was missing a straw. Anyway- everything turned out ok. Thank u for getting me thinking about these kits again❤️❤️❤️🥰🙏
Good kit . You have candy. As a former EMT and MILITARY MEDIC , a candy ( not sugar free) is good thing to have if someone is having a low sugar episode.
I found your channel a few days ago with the 72 hour bags video and have been binge watching ever since. I love your organization system with the different bags and things and everything having a place. I will be using some of these ideas. I have even had trouble falling asleep because i have been thinking about how I want to get organized everywhere lol. 🔨

What great information! I have a jam and jelly business and I sell at local farmers markets. I keep a first aid kit in my car at all times. My kit is organized into micro catagories and stored in one of the black tool boxes from dollar tree 😊

I love this! I’ll be hitting dollar tree soon to make this. I love that everything is labeled! ‘Ointment’ ‘Cough/NyQuil’ you know people will get all picky if it’s off brand. But beggars can’t be chooser! Please post the mini one ASAP! Our cars need this!

I always love these type of videos. You prep like I do, it's so nice to see. I did want to mention a few things that might help out though.
1) Those long zip lock bags are the snack bags that come in a pink box. They're really popular so Dollar Tree tends to run out often. There are 2 different sized snack bags so pay attention to the listed dimensions. (For anyone that was looking for them 🙂)
2) One thing I like to do with anything I have that runs on batteries is I get the .5" x 1.5" neon paper labels at Walmart and write down "Last changed:" along with how many batteries and size and stick them on flashlights and lanterns. I write down the dates in pencil and erase it when I change the batteries. I do the same with my power banks but I write "Last charged:" and the date in pencil when I last charged it. It helps to keep track.
3)I don't remember how true this is but I remember reading that the chemical in non alcohol antibacterial wipes was helping make bacteria drug resistant. Supposedly the chemical doesn't fully kill the bacteria. I switched to 70% alcohol wipes but have you heard anything about this?
4) You might be able to fit more if you moved the items in the small boxes to the long zip lock bags. I usually do that.
5) You should add masks in case someone is sick with a cold or something. During covid a lot of people are saying they are not getting sick with colds or flu.
6) That crinkle tape can work as a tourniquet but you just have to be careful if you use it for other things. When it rolls up like on your arm (they use it when you donate or have a blood test) if your not careful you can accidentally cut off circulation.
7) Add some baking soda. It can be used as an antacid, help brush teeth, help with itching, and if you mix 1 cup peroxide with about 1 Tbs of baking soda you can get rid of the smell of urine (human or animal). I use that mixture when my cats pee on something. Can be good if a little one has an accident.

Love this! I can’t believe the stuff you can get at the Dollar tree! We have nothing like that in the U.K. we have a pound shop but it doesn’t sell half the the things you can get. A proper first aid kit is next on my list!

Thanks! How do you keep track of your inventory for all your kits? That's the only part that's overwhelming to me. Because of your videos I made edc kits for myself and my husband and other emergency kits...overnight and first aid for our cars for ourselves and our toddler. I always get excited when a new video of your pops up. Also, you are so unintentionally asmr, I love it.
Wow that’s so awesome that you’re re-creating some of my kits! I am totally visual to and I just love watching videos like this! I make inventory list so I can make sure everything is there. I also like to make a list and stick them to the outsides of the containers.
Although these are not from the $ store but I recommend New Skin liquid bandage & a thermometer 🌡 for your kits. Obsessed with how detail-oriented you are and your love for anything pink 💕 🔨🔩🔧

Great video Lorna Marie. In case anyone is wondering, I have tried generic versions of several Dollar Tree adult OTC meds (ie Tylenol, Tums, Advil, etc). I was *very* skeptical that they would be any good, but every single one has worked great. 💊I prefer to buy name brand bandages, but I would still re-purchase the DT versions if needed.

I have several large First Aid Kits from Sam's Club and many more First Aid Kits of various sizes. I do buy First Aid Items from Dollar Tree to add to my kits. I use TecNu for Poison Ivy only from Walmart. It is expensive but I swear by it. I also have a large tote full of First Aid Items from Dollar Tree. When SHTF, there will not be any place to buy these items. Especially like the small packs of medicines from Dollar Tree to add to my Kits and to use for Barter.
