The most exciting part is that of the ancient medieval village, enclosed by three parallel main streets and which preserves some of the most interesting monuments of Molise, such as the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, with the elegant crypt of Sant'Adamo, and the church of San Nicola, one of the most significant examples of Romanesque art in Molise. It will be pleasant to reach the viewpoint in the highest part of Guglionesi, because it is one of the most panoramic points in the region, from which it is possible to admire the wheat fields, the Biferno river and the waters of the Guardialfiera lake. Before your eyes you will see the lands made famous by the Molise writer Francesco Jovine in the book “The lands of the sacrament”.
