i love the idea that the once aggressive stray dog turned soft and is now fiercely protective of the little girls and no one can really play with him except them :,)
A good show of Apocalyptic world/story that doesn't have like super super dangerous wondering monsters would probs be Fallout. Yes they do have mutants and wildlife effected by the bombs BUT as long as you avoid those areas, 95% of the time you're pretty safe so it could be something like that.
The lack of security actually isn't a huge issue if it's a location thats somewhat hard to get to! Also, it's way safer to have a huge fence pretty far away from the house, because while it's harder to inspect the fence if it's longer, it keeps any potential intruders far enough away that they'd still have to figure out exactly WHERE the base is, if they manage to get past it. It would be hard to put up said fence on your own, but considering the track and all the shipping containers, it doesn't seem unlikely that it would be a restricted area pre-apocalypse!
This is exactly what I was thinking!! The fence could be quite a bit further and keeps the actual base disguisedððžglad weâre on the same wavelengthð
I can just imagine the kids playing with the dog outside while the moms washing dishes in the kitchen, and the dad, uncle and son are all hanging out, outside and the grandparent is chilling with the mom.
9:30 I think something that makes The Last Of Us, and Planet of the apes stand out is because, of evolution, Fungi (cordyceps) evolved with the increasing temperatures of the planet to match humans, therefore making humans better hosts than insects. Evolution (story telling evolution of a fake disease) that makes humans quiet, and apes talk, causing them all to become slightly more intelligent going forwards. I love the ideas of something that exists in the world, and evolves into a world ending issue.
In all honesty, if there was a civilizational collapse (which, let's face it, is WAY more likely than zombies or some such), I would not fence off my property because 1, there's too much for me to fence by myself, and two, where would I get the materials (no one around me has a lot of fencing, and even if they did, do you think they won't guard it?), or how would I afford them if the economy has collapsed? Instead, I'd fortify my driveway where it crosses a creek, making it impossible to get a vehicle onto my property, and making it unpleasant to come in on foot (and maybe throw in some booby traps along the way for anyone who wants to try hoofing it), but otherwise I would rely on it being hidden. Also, if you have a fence, you're announcing to the world that you have something inside that's very valuable. If you don't have enough people to defend the fence 24/7, then you're better off making your area look abandoned, or failing that, look destitute and keep your good stuff hidden in multiple locations. There's several reasons why people might not fence in their place.
ahhh so true!! I was worried people would be disappointed in no fence but this makes complete senseð more realistic not to have one possibly. I like the way you think!ððž
@@iHanza My late husband was a bit of a prepper and so am I. LOL. That's actually why I watched your video. I often play survival challenges with my Sims as a sort of thought experiment. It worked even better with the Sims 3 because Supernatural really would send hordes of zombies to your house and they would destroy your crops. (In that case, I did fence my garden in, just as you would fence in your garden if deer or other critters were a threat to it.)
this is the first video i've ever seen from you and your build is absolutely gorgeous!!! :3 i have autism and i've been fixated on apocalyptic media for YEARS and i love seeing things i think about drawing or writing about come to life!!! thank you soso much for your creativity ^_^
This is such a lovely comment!!ðĪIâm so glad you enjoy my content, Iâm also very fixated on post apocalyptic settings so Iâve had so much fun bringing it to life through the simsðthanks for the kind words!
i think it would be super cute if all of them were blue collar workers and thatâs why they were able to fix up the shipping containers so well! like for example the dad used to be a construction worker, the uncle an electrician and the mother maybe a plumber? and the grandpa maybe was a war vet turned survivalist who everyone made fun of for looking up how to survive in a situation like this and now that it actually happened keeps telling everyone âi told you so!â. such a nice build tho, i love it :) also the grandpa and dad used to take the son fishing and hunting so theyâre actually super prepared.
I find working with the terrain tool really challenging, so I LOVE watching Simmers who can make sense of it. This is awesome and I'm only a few mins in!! EDIT: OMG THE TRAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it. Strategically a train tunnel would make it harder for your sims to be attacked by enemies too Maybe the mum is a doctor or surgeon, and they get wandering travellers sometimes who are injured?
Thanks so much for your lovely commentsðĨđIâm so glad you like it! Terrain tool is sooo difficult, I honestly cut out so much of me just fiddling around with itð I love that storyline so much omgâĪïļ
I think you forgot a sink in the kitchen..ðð But for real this is SO cool!! I love how you made it feel cozy and homey and lived-in despite the setting, and the backstory gave it so much dimension, i kinda want to go make the family in cas now! This is the first build vid of yours I've come across, and I really like it, you're very creative and talented!!âĪ
It doesn't have to involve zombies to be a post apocalypse, yeah, I was thinking that maybe it's after some sort of WW3, probably with nuclear weapons, and a couple of decades after the war ended, the surviving family members might have found this place as a suitable home where the radiation is low enough to not cause major health concerns! I'm a bit salty though that the bathrooms are too pristine for an apocalypse, apart from that, great build!ð
it can still be a zombie apocalypse type of world but bc they're basically in a forest, were there's less likely to be ppl, it'd still be pretty realistic that they don't have fences. plus if u want u can imagine them havin guns or traps around in the forest to prevent zombies gettin too close. another idea is like a type of disease, again mostly affectin areas w a massive population rather than a smaller one. perhaps its like the last of us show where its a certain type of food that contains and spreads the disease edit: i wanna add that the rock formations work nicely to limit the amount of area that's traversable. it's like natures fence XD
It's just wonderful !!! What great ideas ð I love this kind of land which is a change from the usual houses classic. This is where we see the power of the Sims 4 construction mode ðð
So the other brother got infected with the sick, he noticed quickly enough so he stayed away from the rest of the family, this is how the family was able to survive and not get infected and go off grid as quickly as possible. The teenager is human, but the 2 girls are hybrids. The older brother feels guilty about his brotherâs death. He was the one who was supposed to get the teenagers medication, but he was in bed with a hangover, so the older brother went instead and never came back.
First video of yours, love it!! My first thought was the spare room was the deceased uncle's and sometimes grumpy uncle just hangs out in there. Maybe has a wee chat to him when it all gets too much. He's not bad really... just misses his brother ;-;
Hear me out make a post apocalyptic self sustainable home! With like ofcourse like you already did here: solar panels, generator, dew collector. But make their home an actual farm! With crops, vegetables, fruits, animals, bees, insects, and maybe even horses for the imaginary scavenger sims that go out in the wild to collect stuff. This way you can play with the simple living lot challenge
I love how Iâm not the only simmer that creates a whole lore about my sims family ð
Itâs standard procedure!ð
I don't even play in life mode, I just build neighborhoods and create characters, making up lore for them is so fun
i love the idea that the once aggressive stray dog turned soft and is now fiercely protective of the little girls and no one can really play with him except them :,)
I love this!!ðĨđa big softy to the girls but protective otherwise awwwâĪïļ

Yesss!! I completely forgot about fallout when filming this but I love thatð definitely inspired me to do more like it!ðĪ

plus they seem to be in a forested area, so likely to have less ppl than say a city or small town.

You should totally do a cc create a sim family to live in this little container home !! Id love to see what the family looks like ð

Your recent post apocalyptic build is what brought me to your lovely channel and this one also turned out so so well
Iâm so glad you like the post apocalyptic buildsð I think Iâll definitely have more to come!ðĨ°thanks so much!!

I feel like this would work in the world of sweettooth. Just a family living away from everyone, survivingâĶ
So the other brother got infected with the sick, he noticed quickly enough so he stayed away from the rest of the family, this is how the family was able to survive and not get infected and go off grid as quickly as possible. Also, your building and editing style is so amazing and so relaxing. This is the first video I see by you and Iâm in love with the way you build!
Thatâs such a cool concept!! Iâd never heard that beforeðĨ°absolutely love it! Awe so glad you enjoy my content, and welcome to my channel!ð
First video of yours, love it!! My first thought was the spare room was the deceased uncle's and sometimes grumpy uncle just hangs out in there. Maybe has a wee chat to him when it all gets too much. He's not bad really... just misses his brother ;-;
This is such a beautiful way of interpreting itðĨšI absolutely love that and thank you so much! Iâm glad you like itâĪïļ
The kind of fences that would prob look good would be sheet metal or cinder blocks i dont think any of the current ones would look right
I agree!! We for sure need some updated post apocalyptic build items like fencesðĨ°âĪïļ
Wow this is so cool and creative!! âĪ
So kind!!ðĨđthank youð
First time watcher on my front page, I just loooove your voice ð
I love this build you made.
This looks amazing! Definitely mentally shelving this as inspiration.
i love this build it came out so cool!
A building like this would be perfect for StrangervilleâĪ
Amazing idea!!! Thatâll be my next projectðĨ°âĪïļ
This is really cool great job ð
Thanks so so much!!ðĨ°
This is so cool
Thanks so so much!!ðĨđ
This looks amazing! And I love the story you made along with it too!

Beautiful as always!ð
Thank you so much!!ðð
SNOWPIERCER MENTIONED!!!ðððð
my current obsession!!ðseason 4 in like a week also? heheð
thats a container home, bunkers are suppose to be under ground :P
I think itâs a little mixture of both as I put containers on top and built up the sides with terrainðĨ°would love to do a proper bunker too though!
I created the family its uploaded to my galley @23_cayladd if anyone's interested.
