This guide will walk you through how to swipe and key-in credit and debit card transactions (card present & card not present scenarios), void a sale, add tips, reprint a receipt and batch your Verifone Vx style terminal.
NOTE: When keying in a transaction and prompted to IMPRINT the customer's credit card information. use a manual imprinter + sales slip or make a paper + pencil rubbing of the card itself. Doing so will help protect you from chargeback situations down the road.

I called tech support, they said they didn't make this model anymore and couldn't help me cuz they no longer had instructions for it. I searched online and found this video while I was on the phone with him, I said I found a video on how to process the credit card, thanked him and hung up. Thank you very much for this instructional video, I'm at a new job and I looked like a rockstar because I was able to charge a customers card. Thank you =)

Hey saranghaeyho, Shelly is correct. When you set up a merchant account with your processor, whether it be VMS or someone else, they PROGRAM your terminal for you to direct your funds to your bank account. You don't have to do anything technical at all. Your equipment should already be set up and ready to go when you receive it. I'm glad you enjoyed the videos! I'd be happy to answer anymore questions you may have.

when i have a small kiosk and i have this verifone how do link an account or something so that all those monies taken from the swiped cards go to it ? like what you did where does the 1$ go to when it leaves the swiped card ?
TheAcriNom: Are you processing with VMS? Regardless, I asked our technical support manager and she said that you would need to contact your processor. Their tech support team should be able to connect with your terminal and change the time that it's batching out. If all else fails, call our tech support at ext. 350

Hi. Had purchased this product and is currently connected with a bank account since years of "Bank A". Now I am planning to switch to another bank let's say "Bank B" but want to continue using the same machine in a new account after disconnecting the existing connection with my account in "Bank A". Is it possible to connect the same machine with a different bank ( Bank B).
When you teach , i would like you to show which sides of credit card can be used . Because one cannot be used.

hello I need one help.my swap was asking maintenance and while swapping the card it showing operation cancelled
All right, I have a problem. My VX510 is set to batch out at Midnight, but my store doesn't close until 2am. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to disable the auto batch-out, or how to reset the batch time. Any help would be appreciated. :/

Hello! Can I reimburse a person money she paid back to her card? A person paid with a prepaid card a week ago and now we received a check for same invoice and are they are wanting me to reimburse card instead of returning check.

LalaRanj1: Think of a debit card as a card given to you by your bank that's directly tied to your checking account. You do not carry a balance and funds processed via debit come right out of that checking acct. A credit card you use to pay for goods now and then pay off your credit card balance later. A gift card is something you, as a store owner, can issue and "load" with a predetermined amt of $. Credit and debit process at % rates while gift cards are different. Good questions!Thx for asking

How to add 3% charge on transaction
Unfortunately there is no way on the VX510 however we have a lot of products that do...give us a call and tell them you were referred from our TH-cam page...888-902-6227
travelplus1: If you're a VMS merchant, waiting for customer approval means the machine is waiting to approve the transaction. Is your machine getting stuck on that message? If you are a customer of ours, please call Tech Support at 888-902-6227 x350. If not, then call your processor for an explanation. Each processor has different file builds for their terminals, so that message could mean something totally different w/another company. Good luck!
