So when it comes to revenue, how does that work? Do these distribution apps collect revenue on behalf of artists and distribute it automatically, or do I need to sign up with each publisher in order to receive revenue from my work?

Hi Dean, if you had clicked you are not the writer or if you are releasing a cover song, what would happen next? Would it ask you to secure a mechanical license or would if provide that service for you or a link to apply for it?
Hey Edgar! You know, I can't say as I haven't released a cover song before! But it should give you instructions on how to do that.

What if you are using a free beat but didn’t pay for it? Should you give the beat producer credit in the portion when it asks if you created the song ?
Do I need to create Spotify, Apple Music etc artist pages and profile before I publish my songs? Otherwise how and where will my show up? What if someone else is using that same artist name as me?

hi dean, this had been my passion for many years but I never started it because I never believed in myself :) but now I was able to buy all the equipments I need because I want to start believing in myself, I also play drums, guitar and keyboard and I wrote some songs before, Im also really struggling financially right now do you mind sharing how much money can you actually make as a beginner? because I'm planning to just focus on music for year 2024 instead of going back to school.. is it gonna be worth it dean?

What if i used a beat with my own lyrics!! Slam poetry style lyrics i made and put on different cultural beats! What do i do in this case of the beat not being mine at all! Im not good at applying self taught knowledge to existence but i also dont know how to craft beats just lyrics!? Hi. I was able to upload music to Spotify from my MacBook that it was not available on Spotify. I can see the songs I added to my playlist but I don't see the same songs I added when using Spotify in my Tesla. Is there a way to upload songs from my MacBook saved file and see it on Spotify from different devices such as Tesla, PC or Cellphone.

Hey Billy! No sir I don't, not yet at least. I have had a lot of people ask me about that actually but so far (in 4 years of writing/producing/releasing) I haven't seen the need for it for an artist unless they are somewhat known, as they are millions of artists out there and the likelihood of a song getting stolen is very very low unless they already have a sizable audience and/or absolutely incredible songs (that are worth stealing). That said, others might have differing opinions on that and some just enjoy the security in copyrighting their songs. Hope that helps!

Any media created is automatically copyrighted and a lot copyright it with their local government just to prove they created it first.
