    Fantastic battery, very happy i found this video finally got to use the 36V 60ah battery today in the golf of mexico. 5 hrs in heavy current, and it used only 10 percent. I use the TBD bluetooth shunt $54. To see amps been used and percentage of battery life left. I wish i could attach a screenshot to the post.

    Thanks Chris! I have the same boat you have (R200) and just installed the new (75" / white) Garmin Force Kraken with a single 100Ah 36v lithium battery. LOL - Based on your videos, I installed the same hatch you have and routed the wires the same way - Thanks for your videos!!!! Two key power saving features of this trolling motor is it being brushless, and a reversable prop... crazy long battery life! The battery also has blue tooth to monitor charge level via smart phone. I know you use Lowrance, but my boat came with a Garmin chart plotter, so the Garmin trolling motor has an added benefit or being totally controlled by the chart plotter. FYI, I installed the trolling Moter on the starboard side so the wires feed cleanly through the anchor lid.

      I did the same thing on a R222 based on Chris and some other cool mods, thankful for that. I also took the plunge and got a Garmin Kraken 75" motor, partly due to Garmin compatibility and glad I did. I have 3 Li time batteries for 2 years no problems and added Victron blue tooth, saw this mod on The Basshunter channel. I also went with an Ionic lithium STARTER battery and a Himassi 200 ah house battery. I was concerned about a starter lithium battery being plug and play, which is what tech support kept saying. It is plug and play with my motor a 2018 Evinrude G2 250 hp, no DC to DC required. This may or may not be compatible with your motor so check first.

    Got my 36v 60ah in today fast shipping. Weighing in at 44Lbs very surprised how light it is, it’s on the charger getting ready, can’t wait for some good weather to go do some fishing. Can’t believe they sent it out FedEx.

    Great video!! How many hours is the 36v 60Ah lasting running the terrova 112lbs?

    • @SaltyStrikes
      @SaltyStrikes  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Theres so many variables, how big is your boat, how much does it weight, are in a heavy current, is it windy, are you using to move around a lot?
      My friend Jettie Rocks Mike D has a 60ah lithium and he fishes 4-5 days a week with on a 23’ C-Hawk. He does 8 hr charters all the time.

    Great video considering switching to lithium, but my question is about the charging. I use a three bank Pro Mariner charger in my Ranger and a Schumacher individual charger for my tracker. Will these charging devices be able to fully charge the new lithium batteries like the Dakota series?any advice would be greatly appreciated before I go spending the money

      @SaltyStrikes  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, you need a lithium compatible charger, they are linked in the description area. Dakota batteries are way over priced.

    Hi Chris, great content. You flashed an image of LiTime's new 36v 55ah single. Have you used it yet? I just got the MK Terrova 36v 87 in and wondering if that would be a good choice. Thanks for any thoughts!

      The one i showed is 60ah which should be plenty, my 80ah is almost overkill. I have a link in the description area of the video to the Litime 36v 60ah battery.

      How big is your boat? 60ah would be plenty for a boat our size, you said you have an 87” shaft, so i was thinking your boat might be a lot bigger than ours. If so something like this may be better suited amzn.to/3SZPjj5

    Good information. What about temp Vs performance curves. I have heard if temp gets to low these lithium batteries die. What can you tell us. Thanks buddy cheers Ricky 🕺💃🐈‍⬛👩🏻‍🦼🎸🙏🐠🔥🎣💥😎

    • @SaltyStrikes
      @SaltyStrikes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They don’t die, only thing that lithium is really effected by cold is charging, doesn’t like charging in freezing temperatures, can possibly damage them. So you have a few options, get a lithium that heats itself if charging in cold temps or unplug the charger.

      @@ricks2907 that crazy, that probably a lithium ion battery, not a lithium iron battery. Ive heard of reconditioning but haven’t looked into it.

      @Kevin-mn4hd a house battery is an additional battery used to run accessories…such as vhf, stereos, etc so it don’t pull from your cranking battery. I run 3 trolling batteries, a cranking battery and a house battery. The house battery can be connected to battery two on your perko switch. This will allow for charging from the alternator or used for a cranking battery in the event of an emergency. Lots of advantages to running a “tf” house battery 😂
